Rangers boss Mark Warburton has refuted reports that he and striker Martyn Waghorn have fallen out. Tyus Jones Jersey . Warburton concedes Waghorn has become frustrated over his lack of playing time at Ibrox but has assured the former Leicester man that his time will come.Waghorn has been on the bench for Rangers last four games and has not scored a goal in the Scottish Premiership since the opening day of the season, his only goals since coming when he notched a hat-trick against Queen of the South in the Betfred Cup on September 20. That has led to speculation Waghorn was looking for a move back to England but Warburton has praised the 26-year-old for knuckling down in training and backed him to succeed once he forces his way back into the side. Six months half price Upgrade to Sky Sports to watch Man Utd v Arsenal on Saturday and get the first six months half price I read a report that we had a big fallout, which was quite interesting, Warburton said ahead of Rangers return to domestic action against Dundee at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.Waggy knocked on the door and said: Have we fallen out gaffer? I said: Not as far as Im aware, Waggy. Far from it.He started five games in a row. He wants to play football, of course he does. When he is starting there are other guys that are frustrated. The decision (assistant manager) David (Weir) and I made was to increase the squad size from 21 to 23 because last year we literally ran out of bodies by the cup final. Waghorn has spent much of his time on Rangers bench since scoring a hat-trick against Queen of the South So we had to add numbers, which we did. That means if everyone is fit and well you are going to have one or two frustrated players. The answer? Work harder, just work harder. The hard work will be recognised and we will pick you. But there is no doubt about Waggys attitude. He is a first-class professional. He is frustrated but he shows it by working harder. When his time comes, which it will do shortly, then Im sure he will be in shape to take it.Upgrade to Sky Sports now to watch Man Utd v Arsenal this Saturday and get the first six months half price! NEW YORK -- Mike Woodson had the Knicks on top of their division and in the second round of the playoffs, destinations that had become unreachable and practically unimaginable in New York. Christian Folin Jersey . A year later, he was out of job. Phil Jackson fired Woodson and the entire coaching staff on Monday, making his first big move since becoming team president in March and saying in a statement that "the time has come for change throughout the franchise." The dismissal comes shortly after the Knicks completed a 37-45 season that began with their belief they were a serious contender. Instead, they started poorly, making Woodsons job security practically a season-long distraction. A late surge wasnt good enough for a post-season spot or another year for Woodson. It was a stunningly swift fall for Woodson, whose .580 winning percentage with the Knicks ranks behind only Pat Riley and Jeff Van Gundy, and who finished third in the NBAs Coach of the Year voting after going 54-28 last season. He and the staff were informed of the decision Monday morning by Jackson, the man the Knicks originally wanted to replace Woodson as coach but preferred to run the teams front office. Jackson has won an NBA-record 11 championships as a coach. He has repeatedly said hes not interested in returning to the bench, so he will have to hire someone before he turns his attention to the roster. The team said the coaching search begins immediately. Jackson said he has a "tremendous amount of respect" for Woodson and his staff, which included longtime Knicks assistant Herb Williams. Jackson called this an "extremely difficult" season and said "blame should not be put on one individual." "But the time has come for change throughout the franchise as we start the journey to assess and build this team for next season and beyond," he added. Jackson has said he wont insist the Knicks run the triangle, the offensive system he used in Chicago and with the Lakers, but has made clear his belief in it. TNT analyst Steve Kerr, who played for Jackson with the Bulls but has never been a coach, has repeatedly been mentioned as a top candidate. Kerr said Monday during his SiriusXM NBA Radio show that he and Jackson have remained close and that he expected to speak with him at some point about the job. "Its going to be very interesting and obviously my name is being thrown around. I do anticipate at least being part of the conversation and well see where it all goes," Kerr said. Jackson is scheduled to speak with reporters on Wednesday. Woodson, a former Knicks first-round draft pick, was hired as an assistant coach before the 2011-12 season, then engineered an 18-6 finish after replacing Mike DAntoni on an interim basis the following March to capture a playoff spot. Given a multiyear deal two months later, Woodson then led the Knicks to their first Atlantic Division championship since 1994. New York then beat Boston in the playoffs, its first series victory since 2000, and general manager Steve Mills picked up next seasons option year on Woodsons contract before this season began. But the Knicks were saddled with some early injuries, including centre Tyson Chandlers broken leg, and lacked the veteran leadership they enjoyed last season. Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan was already considering replacing Woodson by December, when he met with Jackson at a holiday party and talked to him about coaching the team. Carmelo Anthony praised his coach Thursday and even offered to back him publicly if necessary. But it was probably a clear sign Woodson wouldnt be back a few minutes later when Amare Stoudemire said the coach hadnt taken part in the exit meetings with players that Jackson and Mills held. Woodson previously coached six seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, leading them to the playoffs in his final three seasons. He has a career record of 315-365. Woodson went 109-79 with the Knicks, who hadnt even made the playoffs since 2004 before he led them there in 2012. But he lost one of his biggest supporters within the organization when general manager Glen Grunwald, Woodsons college teammate at Indiana, was surprisingly fired last September. Players and fans sometimes grumbled during the season about Woodsons strategies as the defence regressed and the offence was inconsistent beyond Anthony, who plans to become a free agent in July. Chandler said there probably was some "disconnect" and "misunderstanding" at times. "Coach Woodson put together a game plan for us on the basketball court and there were times we didnt totally buy into it," Stoudemire said last week. Still, the Knicks nearly rallied to make the playoffs by winning 16 of their final 21 games. But Woodson, who said he and Jackson had only brief chats in Jacksons first month in charge, said before the season finale he knew the coach often takes the blame. "Everyone in this franchise owes a great deal of gratitude to what Mike and his staff have done," Jackson said. "We wish him the best." Cheap Kings Jerseys Authentic . TORONTO -- As a No. Adidas Shoes Clearance . 13 seed, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga had a punishing draw at the Rogers Cup. He didnt have big expectations entering the tournament but proceeded to take down some of the biggest names in tennis en route to the final. Once he got there, arguably the greatest player in the sports history became his latest victim. Tsonga relied on his powerful serve and strong baseline game in a 7-5, 7-6 (3) victory over second-seeded Roger Federer at Rexall Centre on Sunday. The Frenchman took advantage of a rare off-day from the Swiss great and capitalized on his chances. "Im working hard, my motivation came back," said Tsonga, who has battled knee problems over the last two years. "I want to win, I want to play my best tennis on the court. And it happened today." It was his fourth straight victory over a top-10 opponent. He upset top-seeded Novak Djokovic in the third round, eighth-seeded Andy Murray in the quarter-final and seventh-seeded Grigor Dimitrov in the semifinal. Tsonga earned US$598,900 for winning the $3.78-million tournament while Federer received $293,650 as the finalist. It was Tsongas second career Masters 1000 Series win and his first victory at this event. He took out three members of the so-called Big Four this week. The other, 2013 champion Rafael Nadal, withdrew due to injury. "I think for me its going to be a new motivation because just last year I always lost against those guys and it was really frustrating for me," he said. "Then today a win against (Federer), its good for me, its good for my ambition and its good for my career." Federer, a 17-time Grand Slam champion, was his usual consistent self in a semifinal win over Feliciano Lopez a night earlier. But he had a hard time with the quick turnaround to a mid-afternoon start on a glorious summer day. "I fought, I mixed it up and I was hoping to sort of sneak in a set and then maybe he would get a bit nervous or maybe would play a bad game," Federer said. "But I just couldnt create enough opportunities. So I think he deserved to win at the end of the day. "It was pretty simple, in my opinion." The first set was a rather choppy affair. Both players made some unforced errors over the first few games but each held serve. Tsonga struggled with his first serve at times but his spin-heavy second serve was just as effective. The quality of the match picked up late in the set. With Tsonga serving at 5-5, Federer showed his skills at the net with a deft drop shot that a fully-stretched Tsonga could not retrieve. Tsongas serve picked him up and he earned the hold to put the pressure back on the world No. 3. Federer became unglued in the final game, spraying two shots long to fall behind 15-30. He pulled even with a winner but was wide with a ground stroke that was unsuccessfully challenged, setting up the first break point opportunity of the set. The Swiss star then launched a ball well long to give Tsonga the opening set in 44 minutes. Tsonga, who reached No. 5 in the world rankings in 2012 but is currently No. 15, kept the pressure on in the second set. He had a break point chance with a 3-2 lead but Federer came back with an ace and fought back for the hold. The Frenchman had another great chance up 4-3 with a double-break point. However, Federer answered again with two straight points to get to deuce and then saved two more break point chances before holding with an ace. In the tiebreaker, Tsonga picked up a mini-break for a 4-3 lead and took the next three points for his first ATP title of the season and 11th of his career. Earlier, Bruno Soares of Brazil and Alexander Peya of Austria successfully defended their doubles title with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Ivan Dodig of Croatia and Marcelo Melo of Brazil. Notes: It was Tsongas first final appearance since losing to Latvias Ernests Gulbis last February in Marseille. His only previous Masters 1000 title came in Paris in 2008. ... Tsonga improved to 5-11 in head-to-head matchups against Federer. Three of his wins have come in Canada. He also beat Federer in the quarter-finals at Montreal in 2009 and in the third round in 2011. ... Federer, who has 79 career titles, won the Rogers Cup in 2004 and 2006. He fell to 2-5 in finals this season. ... The 10,600-seat venue was sold out for the final, which pushed the weeks attendance total to 148,341. That was a slight improvement from the 2012 mens event and just below the 2010 total. Cheap Adidas Shoes Wholesale .com) - Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant combined for 51 points and the Oklahoma City Thunder took down the struggling Bucks 114-101 on Tuesday. A phone call interview with Chael Sonnen. You can hear it as part of our podcast for TSN 1290s The Weigh In. Before the interview we talked about this project, encouraging fight fans to try aspects of the training. We talked briefly about his hilarious commercials for Nexersys (more on that later) and getting people fit. During the podcast interview we talked his picks for UFC Fight Night, and about his ability to always be ready for any fight any time. His answer was simple. It goes back to his wrestling days, and you never know whos going to be your opponent. You simply have to be ready and be your best. Chael isnt as big on strength training, and in fact sees it the same as some of the "old school" guys do. Its more to break up training than to add to it. Its a mental break, something new. It got me thinking about my week of training. I spend a lot of my time doing the work I have my pros do in the strength room. I also make time for kickboxing. Unfortunately, finding time to get to a jujitsu or wrestling class never matches my schedule, but I can always hit a heavy bag.  Which led me to take a look around the internet, my hope was to find a few things MMA fans could try that could match their schedule if they wanted to try striking. The fitness you need for 20-30 minutes of striking is actually incredible. It truly is one of the top cardiovascular workouts. If you want your body to lose fat, cardio burns it off. Especially if that cardio is done in intervals, and high intensity training (HIT). I checked out a brand new franchise to the market, its called 9 Round Fitness. Basically a new class starts every 30 minutes. You are involved in a circuit of 9 x 3 minute rounds of activity. So if you are a fan of MMA or Kickboxing, but are not quite ready to enter a full fight gym, this is the perfect start. Trust me when I say, fight gyms can be intimidating. Go at the wrong time and you can see blood on the mats, and sweat flying everywhere. Its not the best starting point for a lot of people. Something with the basics of kickboxing, and people there simply to get a workout and try the sport they love is perfect. If you dont want to leave your home, you need to try a Nexersys. Its a stand-alone piece of workout equipment. It comes with software to ensure yyou are progressing, learning and increasing your fitness. Wholesale Adidas Shoes. The targets have accelerometers to insure your safety when striking. For a beginner in kickboxing its great, and it can advance you as you get better at your striking game. Again, anytime you can work in high intensity intervals into your training, its a great thing. I would love to see fight fans try something like this, just to get introduced to the sport they love. Building an understanding of what goes into training, builds more passion for the sport. It also builds sponsorship opportunities for athletes. Meaning, they get paid to train and the fans see more complete fighters.  My week was capped off by a meeting with my trainer; its time to buckle down. Im looking to be able to hit 205 by the end of this 10 weeks. Currently my weight is sitting at 221 pounds. That means its time to tighten up on diet. This is the worst part of training. Its also why fighters hire trainers. Im using Jeff Fisher at Elite Performance in Winnipeg; hes helped athletes in all sports cut weight to be their best. Im using a trainer because I would not do what it takes if it was up to me. You need someone to reinforce the necessity of being strict on the diet. If a pro misses weight, it ruins his reputation and costs him a portion of his winnings. So to test how I can do with training and cutting calories my diet this week has a lot more focus. No sugar at all, increasing my good fats, using select supplements to ensure my vitamins and minerals are up even though my calories are being cut. I will eat 5 times in a day, 3 meals and two smaller snacks.  Im also taking care to remove carbohydrates that have gluten, and extra dairy products. A lot of pro fighters are avoiding dairy as their fights approach. Dairy can in some people increase the production mucus, which affects breathing through the nose. Last week I started running with my SISU Mouth guard. Even though it has significant improvements in how well it fits, you still shouldnt be breathing with an open mouth. So dairy is reduced. Im on track, it feels good and I cant wait to hear from fans of the sport of MMA as they turn their health around, and develop some healthy habits thanks to their passion for MMA. Lots to learn and a lot of fun to be had while getting active. ' ' '

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Carolina Hurricanes havent had much to celebrate lately. Against the New York Rangers, its been years. The Hurricanes changed both story lines Tuesday night with a 3-1 win against the Rangers. Carolina made the most of a goal and assist from both Jordan Staal and Jiri Tlusty to snap a 10-game losing streak against New York. "You have to wake up and just be confident in our game and our system and keep moving forward and looking ahead," Staal said. "The last couple games weve had havent been a great result, but our effort has always been there. Its nice to get a good result." Carolina had lost seven of eight to fall well behind in the Metropolitan Division race. The Hurricanes were outscored 30-16 in that stretch. Elias Lindholm added an insurance goal for Carolina late in the third period. Cam Ward made 24 saves for his first win since Dec. 31. "It has been a struggle for myself," Ward said. "I havent had that much of an opportunity to get back in there. . When you dont play, you put so much emphasis on one game that it can get you thinking too much. Tonight, (I was) just be able to shut it off and have some fun." Kevin Klein had the Rangers goal, scoring for the first time since being acquired from Nashville on Jan. 22. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 32 shots. "Not that I dont want to give credit to Carolina because they played a good game, but we (gave) away two points because we didnt work," Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said. "I have not said that very often about the group this year, but right from the start, our work ethic wasnt what it needs to be in this league to have any chance." The Rangers had outscored the Hurricanes 40-19 in the teams previous 10 meetings, including a 4-2 road victory on Friday. Before Tuesday, Carolinas last win against the Rangers was Jan. 20, 2011. The Rangers, 8-4-1 in their past 13 games, remained one point ahead of Philadelphia for second place in the Metropolitan Division. T.J. Leaf Jersey. "I think we have to make a lot better decisions with the puck, especially in our own end," forward Derek Stepan said. "Offensively, were a pretty skilled team, but to win hockey games, we have to make sure we do the dirty work in our own end and make good decisions. I felt like tonight we made it a little bit too easy for them to get in front and create chances." Carolina took a 1-0 lead just 33 seconds into the second period. Alexander Semin worked hard to control the puck in the offensive zone, eventually feeding it back to Andrej Sekera at the point. Sekera passed to Staal along the goal line, and Staal slid the puck under defenceman Anton Stralman to Tlusty for a one-timer that beat Lundqvist. New York tied it 1-1 just 3:49 later when Mats Zuccarello found Klein trailing the play on a rush. Klein was open in the slot, and his wrist shot went above Wards left shoulder. Carolina took a 2-1 lead with 1:42 left in the second. Staal outraced Stralman for the puck along the boards in the Rangers zone and knocked it in front of Lundqvist. Tlusty gathered the puck to the right of Lundqvist and fed it back to a wide-open Staal before New Yorks defence could recover. Lindholm finished the scoring with 5:29 remaining off a rebound of Jeff Skinners original shot. "I think we played a really strong 60 minutes of hockey," Carolina coach Kirk Muller said. "There was still a lot of fighting with these guys. . Hopefully tonight is that big win that we build on." NOTES: Carolinas Jay Harrison played in his 300th NHL game. ... The Hurricanes John-Michael Liles missed his second straight game with an upper body injury. ... Stepan had a six-game point streak snapped. Stepan had one goal and eight assists in that span. ' ' '

SAN DIEGO -- Arizonas Brandon McCarthy went seven innings and won for just the second time this season, pitching the Diamondbacks past the Padres 2-1 on Friday night. Cheap Nike Shoes Sale . McCarthy (2-10) limited San Diego to one run and six hits. He struck out seven with no walks as he beat the Padres for the second time this season and fourth in five career decisions. Addison Reed pitched the ninth inning for his 18th save in 21 chances. The Padres, who were no-hit by the Tim Lincecum of the San Francisco Giants in their last game, were again challenged offensively. Tyson Ross (6-8) took the loss as the Padres continued a disturbing trend. In Ross last five starts the Padres have scored one run. The Padres cut Arizonas lead in half in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Ross. He drove in Cameron Maybin who reached on a single and took third on a single by Alexi Amarista. San Diego squandered a chance to tie the game in the sixth when Chase Headley reached third with one out. But with the infield in, Will Venable grounded to Aaron Hill at second base and he erased Headley trying to score. Venable was retired when he broke for second base while Headley was in a rundown. The Diamondbacks broke the scoreless tie in the fourth when Paul Goldschmidt walked to open the inning, which preceded a single by Miguel Montero. They advanced to second and third on a wild pitch by Ross. David Peralta drove them both in with a sharp one-out single up the middle. Martin Prado smacked a similar ball toward centre, but with Amarista covering second on a steal attempt by Peralta, he was in position to turn an inning-ending double play. Down 2-0, the Padres had an opportunity to cut into their deficit when Headley and Yasmani Grandal had consecutive one-out singles in the fourth inning. But Venable and Jake Goebbert struck out looking to squash the rally. The Padres got their first hit in 11 innings in the third when Ross bunted for a two-out single. Ross effort down the first base line was fielded by McCarthy but his throw was late and offline. Ross, the Padres second base runner over that 11-inning span, didnt go far. Everth Cabrera followed with a ground ball to shortstop to end the inning. NOTES: Diamondbacks SS Chris Owings was scratched from the lineup with a sore left shoulder. . Los Angeles Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs Open Thread The Los Angeles Chargers kick off the 2018 season at home taking on division rival Kansas City Chiefs. Last year’s AFC West division champion is currently riding an 8-game winning streak against Philip Rivers and co. This is a new year and new teams on both sides Joey Bosa Jersey , however. The Chargers have finally constructed an offensive line that can be expected to both protect Rivers and open up holes in the running game. The defense while missing Joey Bosa has received an infusion of athleticism in the form of Kyzir White and Derwin James. And on the other side of the field, the Chiefs no longer have their veteran signal caller Alex Smith and are instead starting Patrick Mahomes who will be playing in just his second NFL game. The Chiefs also traded away their star cornerback Marcus Peters in a deal that left them weaker this year.Still, Andy Reid is one of the more innovative coaches in the league and he has had the whole offseason to come up with new wrinkles that have not yet been committed to tape, so the Chargers will have their hands full today. Hopefully, we will get a different result from the last four years.Go Chargers! The Denver Broncos started the game with the ball after receiving hte opening kickoff. Case Keenum continued to look like Case Keenum with incompletions on his first two passes followed by a pass short of the sticks on 3rd down. In spite of a defensive penalty on the drive, the defense forced a three-and-out and a punt.Philip Rivers and the Chargers offense took over on their own 20-yard line. It looked like they might go three-and-out themselves, but instead Rivers found Keenan Allen open downfield for a 27-yard gain on 3rd down despite Bradley Chubb hitting him nearly as he released the ball. Two more 3rd down conversions made it look like the offense might put up six, but a holding penalty on Mike Pouncey backed them up. Then, Travis Benjamin ran a wrong route and Russell Okung pitched in with a false start. Luckily, they were somewhat bailed out by Michael Badgley who converted on a 46-yard field goal attempt to give the home team its first lead of the day.Taking over again now down three points Authentic Austin Ekeler Jersey , the Broncos offense looked no more effective than they had the first time and the Chargers defense forced another punt.Long passes of over 25 yards each to Mike Williams and Virgil Green provided all of the offense the Chargers could muster on their next drive and while they were unable to find the end zone they did set up Badgley with another field goal try which he converted again. The defense finally gave up a 1st down on the ensuing drive, but they still managed to force the Denver punting unit onto the field. Unfortunately, the special teams was fooled once again (just like last week) and they allowed a 1st down via a fake punt. This set up an eventual 41-yard touchdown run by rookie undrafted free agent running back Phillip Lindsay. Brandon McManus’ extra point gave the Broncos their first lead of the day.Things appeared ready to get out of hand when Philip Rivers was intercepted on the following drive to give the Broncos fantastic field position. The defense stood strong, though, eventually forcing a turnover on downs when Kyle Emanuel and Jatavis Brown combined to stop the Broncos short of the line to gain.Seizing this newfound life the Chargers offense started rolling immediately. An absolutely beastly run after catch by Melvin Gordon picked up 32 yards. Then, Mike Williams showed off his improving technique with a beautiful catch along the sideline. Finally, Rivers bought time with excellent footwork in the pocket before finding Allen for a 4-yard score. Allen celebrated by wearing a championship belt handed to him by a fan.On the Broncos next drive they managed to look more like they had to start the game and the defense shut them down eventually forcing a punt. The Chargers attempted a halfhearted 2-minute drill with under a minute to go and the clock ultimately ran out after Rivers took a sack while looking to throw a Hail Mary.Having kicked off to start the game, the Charger received to begin the second half. They got the ball rolling with a big grab by Tyrell Williams after a playaction fake. He took a hard hit, though, and was slow to get up before walking to the sideline without assistance. With Benjamin motioning across the formation Youth Darius Philon Jersey , Gordon got the carry and picked up 8 yards on 2nd & 9 then picked up a new set of downs on his next carry. With both backs on the field, Austin Ekeler got the call on a reverse where he picked up the 1st down and then some. After catching a short pass, Gordon ran with power to move the sticks again. A defensive holding penalty kept the drive moving forward after that. On 1st and goal from the 8, Rivers threw an ugly ball to Gates who had his man beat in the end zone. A Dan Feeney hold on the next snap backed them up back to the 18. An unnecessary roughness penalty on safety Justin Simmons put the Chargers back inside the 10 and gave them a fresh set of downs. Future Hall of Famer Antonio Gates got open yet again and this time Rivers gave him a catchable ball. Badgley failed to convert the point after attempt. It was his first miss of the season. The Broncos picked up 8 yards on consecutive runs to start the drive, but Keenum, hurried by Bosa, sailed an incompletion on 3rd & 2. The Chargers offense was moving the ball well at first. Then, a drop by Virgil Green led to an ill-advised screen pass that Von Miller intercepted and nearly took to the house. Benjamin managed to chase him down from behind to prevent that. Unfortunately, the damage was done and with their field position, the Broncos punched the ball into the end zone thanks to the legs and power of Royce Freeman.Keenan Allen had a nice reception on 1st down to set up 2nd and 3. Gordon was stuffed on the next play. Then http://www.chargersauthorizedshops.com/a...ell-jersey , Mike Williams dropped a pass that would have moved the chains. Donnie Jones and the punt team then came on to give the ball back to Denver.Derwin James kickstarted the Broncos next drive with a pointless facemask penalty. Two plays later, Courtland Sutton took a Keenum pass across the middle for 39 yards inside the red zone. From there, the defense had no answer and eventually Lindsay took a direct snap for a touchdown. The Broncos elected to go for 2, but they tried to run it with Keenum and he was stopped short of the goal line. Two chunk plays by Austin Ekeler went for a combined 40 yards as the Chargers drove down the field. A false start by Sam Tevi backed them up for 2nd & 15. Then, a weird give-up of a run play to Gordon made it 3rd & 15. A beautiful screen to Gordon set up 4th & 1. Anthony Lynn elected to pretend they were going for it, but instead just wasted a valuable timeout late in a close game with potential playoff implications. Badgley converted a 30-yard field goal to take the lead back.An absolutely beautiful play by Casey Hayward to knock a ball loose from Emmanuel Sanders resulted in a fumble recovery by the Chargers. The play, like all turnovers, was reviewed, and the call on the field was overturned. Still, it was a great play by Hayward. The next play went to Sanders again who caught that one for a new set of downs. A terrible holding penalty by Jahleel Addae then wiped out an interception by Adrian Phillips changing a turnover to a 1st down for Denver. Pressure by the defense on consecutive plays resulted in incompletions that necessitated a punt and the Chargers got the ball back inside 4 minutes to go.Needing to run a successful 4-minute drill to run out the clock and win the game Denzel Perryman Jersey , the Chargers started with a 3-yard run by Gordon and a 1-yard reception by Green. Denver called their second timeout and the Chargers needed 6 yards on 3rd down to stay on the field. Antonio Gates came up huge again with another 3rd down reception. Gordon ripped off a 6-yard gain on 1st down. Then, on 2nd & 4, Gordon apparently did not know the play call and Gordon was tackled for a loss of 3. A game that should have been over was suddenly back on. On 3rd & 7 with a chance to ice the game, the Rivers lined up in shotgun and bounced a ball at Allen’s feet stopping the clock and leading to a punt. It was an unfathomably bad play.Donnie Jones’ punt was fair caught inside the 10-yard line. The decision to field the punt was nearly as questionable as Rivers’ throwaway on 3rd down. Jeff Heuerman caught a pass underneath for a 5-yard gain and ran time off the clock. Sanders, however, made you forget about that with a huge play on 2nd & 5 that got them to midfield. Booker caught a pass underneath to get to the 45. With 37 seconds left, Tim Patrick caught a ball that put the Broncos well within McManus’ range. Shockingly, Patrick was called for offensive pass interference. It had appeared that Michael Davis was the one who made contact early, but the Chargers accepted the gift. Another big pass play put them back in easy field goal range and they managed to spike the ball to stop the clock and allow McManus to try it. He, of course Authentic Melvin Gordon Jersey , drilled it for the win, but Lynn had called a timeout, so he had to try it again. He made it again and the Chargers lost a badly played, badly coached game at home against inferior competition. Custom Denver Broncos Jerseys

Discipline and doing the little things right. The Saints showed a lot of both traits on Sunday and for the first time this season looked like a team that didn’t need every ounce of their allotted 60 minutes to dispose of an opponent.Small details that give players an advantage over their opposition can start in the classroom with a coach Authentic Marshon Lattimore Jersey , but even tinier seeds for success could be planted when a player goes home and does something as minute as getting a massage.I write this knowing that I’ll suggest to a friend that she have her son (whom has ambitions of playing in the NFL) read it as it offers a good example of the aforementioned.Attention to detail and mentally tough players have long been staples of successful Sean Payton operations down in New Orleans. It has to be, particularly for an offense that likes to throw everything including the kitchen sink at opposing defenses. This has been evident with the Taysom Hill packages that have been sprinkled into the offensive gumbo like a good file. Not that cheap store brand stuff either!I’m talmbout the one a friend of a friend hands you in a Gerber jar with the words file written in black permanent marker across masking tape. The Hill usage has yielded positive results nearly every time he’s touched the ball, and to have the confidence to go with him on the fake punt (2nd time this season) along with rolling out his package as much as they did, points to a coaching staff comfortable with the collective attention to detail it takes to run those plays successfully. They also seem to have done their homework on the advantages and disadvantages of taking the ball out of your Hall of Fame quarterbacks hands for 21% of the offensive snaps. From Payton putting emphasis on creating more turnovers in practice the week prior, to the defensive backs playing an outside shoulder technique and not biting on double moves, collectively there were small things that the team got fixed as a whole and it lead to their first true complimentary win of the season against the Giants.Miscellaneous ThoughtsAlvin Kamara will go down as one of the best 3rd round picks ever if he continues to be as productive as he’s been.Through 20 games of his short NFL career he’s scored 114 points. That’s a faster start than any other skill position player Payton has acquired in his time with the Saints.Dennis Allen making adjustments showed up promptly. One small detail worth mentioning is Marcus Davenport playing in a 2-point stance more often in pass rushing situations. That’s a coach allowing a player to do what he’s comfortable with.David Onyemata played more snaps than Sheldon Rankins. That’s significant because the Saints are reducing Rankins run down snaps and it keeps him more fresh for pass rushing situations. He forced 4 hurried throws and won very quickly at times with a refined spin move according to Rev.Payton really respected the Giants defensive front. For them to run on them the way they did was phenomenal.Twas a good example of the o-line imposing it’s will. They played playoff caliber football along the LOS.Thomas hinted after the game that his low numbers weren’t because he was ineffective but because of the attention he garnered.Payton probably noticed this and used him as a decoy to open things up for other guys like playoff Josh Hill.He still caught 4 passes on 5 targets. You can’t blank him out.Saints don’t win very often when Drew Brees fails to score a TD and yet they did just that against the Giants.New Orleans heads into their Week 5 Monday Night matchup vs. the Redskins with momentum, an extra day to rest (to get said maintenance) and a little bit more time for Mark Ingram to slide back into the ranks after being away the last month. All things positive, the Saints closed out the 1st quarter of their schedule above .500 for the first time since 2013. The objective at the start of the season was to come out the gates fast and as the curtain falls on Act I of “March to the Lombardi #twodat” they can look back and say mission accomplished. On to the Redskins and the fall of the next historic NFL record at the hands of Drew Brees.Who Dat!What if the 49ers Fail to Score at the End of the 2011 Divisional Round? Right up there with the “Minnesota Miracle,” the 2011 NFC Divisional Round game against the San Francisco 49ers is one of the most soul-sucking games of the Sean Payton Era for the New Orleans Saints and their fans. The 2011 season for the New Orleans Saints will go down as one of the biggest lost opportunities of the franchise. The offense was electric. The Saints had 5 Pro Bowlers on offense that season: Drew Brees, Jimmy Graham, Carl Nicks, Jahri Evans, and Jermon Bushrod. Drew Brees slung the ball all season, passing for a then-NFL record 5 Authentic Michael Thomas Jersey ,476 passing yards while also leading the league in completion percentage at 71.2%. He threw for an amazing 46 passing TDs while only totaling 14 interceptions. And we’ve said Jimmy Graham went to the Pro Bowl, but this was his coming out party. He finished the year with 1,310 receiving yards, still the highest total of his career. The Saints also had a four-headed rushing attack with Mark Ingram, Pierre Thomas, Darren Sproles, and Chris Ivory, with the four combining for over 2,000 rushing yards, 13 rushing TDs, with another 1,100 yards in the air, and 8 receiving TDs. It was truly the Greatest Show on Turf.Photo by Chris Graythen/Getty ImagesThe Saints dominated their way through the 2011 regular season to the tune of 13-3, winning the NFC South http://www.neworleanssaintsteamonline.co...arr-jersey , but only the third best record in the NFC. The Saints finished behind the #1 seed Aaron Rodgers-led Green Bay Packers and the #2 seed, the former divisional rival San Francisco 49ers. The Saints made quick work of the Detroit Lions in the first round of the playoffs, dispatching of the Lions 28-45 in the Dome. Then came the divisional round matchup against the 2nd seeded San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick...What if it had gone differently...?The 49ers had just scored a touchdown and missed the 2-point conversion to go up 24-29 with under two minutes left in regulation. The Saints then took the lead on a touchdown and successful two point conversion, 32-29, with under a minute remaining, only to have their heart ripped out with 7 seconds left as Alex Smith hit Vernon Davis on a touchdown pass to seal the game for San Francisco. But what if Malcolm Jenkins of the Saints is able to tackle Vernon Davis immediately after the catch? The 49ers would be on their own 49 yard line with only 37 seconds left in the game. They would have been forced to call their final timeout, with likely only a couple of chances to get into David Akers’s range. Akers made the Pro Bowl that year, but missed his only chances at field goals over 50 yards. If the 49ers can’t get at least twenty more yards (with no timeouts and half a minute on the clock), the 49ers don’t go on to win the game. But then what? What happens with the Saints if they go on to the NFC Championship Game?Assuming everything else plays out the same in the 2011 season, the Saints would host the #4 seed that just shocked the #1 seed Green Bay Packers: Eli Manning and the New York Giants.Photo by Justin Edmonds/Getty ImagesIt shouldn’t come as a surprise, though, that the Giants gave the Packers everything they could handle in the playoffs. In Week 13, the Green Bay Packers won 38-35 on a Mason Crosby field goal with 3 seconds left in the game to steal a victory on the road. But guess what happened one week earlier in Week 12? The New Orleans Saints demolished the Giants in New Orleans 24-49.The Saints scored more than 40 points the last 5 games they played of the 2011 season (and postseason). On the other hand, the Giants failed to score 40 points any any point during a single time of the 2011 season and postseason. The Saints didn’t lose a single game at home during the 2011 regular season and postseason http://www.neworleanssaintsteamonline.co...ara-jersey , and there would be no reason to think they wouldn’t beat the Giants in the divisional round in the Dome for the second time that year. That would mean the NFL would be getting one of the elite Super Bowl matchups that has never happened (yet1f61f Drew Brees vs Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty ImagesIf you remember the 2011 Saints team, you’d probably remember that while they had a decent overall defense (13th overall), they were pretty poor against the pass (30th against the pass). And while you might think this means the Saints would not be able to hold up against Brady and the Pats, it’s not like the Giants were world-beaters. The G-Men were only one spot worse at 29th against the pass (and significantly worse as a team defense, 25th overall). The biggest difference between the Saints and Giants? The offense we’ve already talked about. Remember: the Giants didn’t put up 40 points in a single game in 2011. The Giants had only the 9th best offense in 2011. The Patriots had the second. The top offense in 2011? Of course: your New Orleans Saints. Once the Saints get past the Giants to advance to the Super Bowl, there would be no reason the Saints chances at winning Super Bowl XLVI isn’t - at worst - a toss up. It would be likely, though, that the Saints would enter as the favorites to win.If Vernon Davis just tripped on his own shoelaces with 35 seconds left to go in the game on January 14, 2012, the Saints could have had two Lombardis in three years. What could have been... Custom Buffalo Bills Jerseys

The one where we talk about the Eagles and Giants Good evening and Welcome Aboard!Standard Disclaimer:I’m not a fan of the NFL having games on Thursday which results in a short week for both teams and in my opinion increases the likelihood of injury. It’s one of the things I think the player’s union should negotiate to get rid of with the next CBA.In any case I’m going to keep doing these on Monday and Thursday night as long as my new job allows and/or if it’s a common opponent for the Vikings. You’re probably wondering about the common opponent angle as the Vikings have already played the Eagles.Former Vikings OC Pat Shurmer is the head coach for the Giants http://www.authenticsminnesotavikings.co...ill-jersey , I thought he did a pretty good job as the Vikings OC, so he gets a Thursday night post.I don’t know who I’ll be cheering for but I’d like to see an entertaining game and I’d like to see what Giant’s RB Saquon Barkley is able to put on the field.Stop by let’s make fun of the mistakes our potential future opponents make on the field and maybe be entertained. With that, let’s be neutral....just kidding, I don’t really care. Also, GIF’s are welcome in this game thread, however within the rules as usual.A few rules though, these will look oddly familiar.-No discussion of politics or religion-No feeding of the trolls-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags Youth Everson Griffen Jersey , if you must)-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away-While navigating the Eagles-Giants thread, just assume it’s sarcasm One of the primary reasons for the downfall of the 2018 season for the Minnesota Vikings was the play of the offensive line. Week after week, they showed themselves as unable to open holes for the running game and unable to provide adequate time in the passing game. During his season-ending press conference last week, head coach Mike Zimmer fielded several questions about the offensive line, and one specifically about the effect that the sudden passing of offensive line coach Tony Sparano just before the start of the season may have had on the team. Now Youth Adam Thielen Jersey , in some corners of the internet, this is being interpreted as Zimmer using Sparano’s passing as an excuse for the low level of play on the offensive line this season. Such interpretations are, quite frankly, ridiculous. After all, the personnel on the offensive line didn’t change very much, and it’s hard to say how much Sparano’s presence and/or coaching would have changed that. The bigger effect, quite frankly, probably would have been on Zimmer himself. It was clear that Sparano was someone that he had come to trust http://www.authenticsminnesotavikings.co...iff-jersey , not just as far as the offensive line is concerned, but on other matters based on Sparano’s previous experience as a head coach. While I’m sure that Clancy Barone and Andrew Janocko did everything they could given the circumstances, there are certain aspects of what Sparano brought to the sideline that they weren’t going to be able to replace.Sparano’s passing wasn’t the first time in Vikings’ history that the team lost an important member of the coaching staff. Following the 1998 season, offensive coordinator Brian Billick moved on to become the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens after the Minnesota offense set records that season. In his place, the Vikings promoted quarterbacks coach Chip Myers to the offensive coordinator spot. Myers was considered an ascending star in the organization, and it was thought that he could have carried on what Billick had started. However, less than a month after getting the job, and less than a week after he was with the team’s staff scouting prospects in Indianapolis at the Scouting Combine Youth Kyle Rudolph Jersey , Myers had a heart attack and passed away at the age of 53.While the passing of anyone is tragic. . .and I’m in no way attempting to minimize the passing of either Chip Myers or Tony Sparano by saying this. . .the Vikings had plenty of time to make adjustments prior to the start of the 1999 season. They were able to get Ray Sherman, who Myers replaced as the Vikings’ quarterbacks coach when Sherman took the job as offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1998, to come back and step into the offensive coordinator job in Minnesota. The team really didn’t have the ability to do that with Sparano, who passed away just days before the start of Training Camp. Again, the team did what they could by promoting internally, but as I mentioned earlier, there were some aspects of what Sparano brought to the table that nobody was going to be able to replace. The passing of Tony Sparano was, undeniably Youth Kirk Cousins Jersey , a tragic event for the Minnesota Vikings organization, and it had to have been even more so for Mike Zimmer and the coaching staff in particular. But to say that he’s using it as some sort of an excuse is a bit disingenuous. He was asked about it in the season-ending press conference, and he answered the question as thoroughly and truthfully as he could. It’s not as though it was constantly brought up week after week as a reason for the play of the offensive line. The offensive line was bad in 2018 because they were bad. They were bad in August, they were bad in October, and they were bad in December. I don’t ever recall Zimmer. . .or anybody else. . .invoking Sparano’s name as the reason behind that.Mike Zimmer knows that his primary mission for this offseason. . .again. . .needs to be fixing the offensive line. With that being the case, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him bring in someone similar to Sparano with a lot of experience and cachet to bring to the table. But it’s a bit insulting to say that he’s using the death of his former colleague to excuse the play of the offensive line in 2018.

The Calgary Flames signed their first-round pick Sam Bennett to an entry-level contract on Friday. Nike Sb Clearance Sale . Bennett, the fourth-overall pick in this years NHL Draft, scored 36 goals and added 55 assists in 57 games with the OHLs Kingston Frontenacs last season. His 91 points ranked ninth in the OHL. "It is a surreal feeling," Bennett said in a statement. "Its a moment Ive dreamed of since I was little and now I can officially say Im part of the Flames organization. Its a huge honour in itself to be able to say that. Im so happy." Flames general manager Brad Treliving said in a release that the team will not rush Bennett on to the teams roster. "The one thing I want to state clearly is theres no pressure here on Sam to jam him into the lineup," Treliving said. "My expectation, quite frankly, is Im preparing myself for Sam to be a junior player this year. Sams going to have to make the team and hes going to have to make a real compelling case to be here. If he does, good on him and good for us. Then hes earned his way onto the team." The 18-year-old was named a finalist for the Red Tilson Trophy, awarded to the OHLs most outstanding player. Bennett is the 10th member of the 2014 draft class to sign. Nike Sb Shoes Australia . The Islanders are struggling no matter where they are playing. Mark Stuart, Andrew Ladd and Devin Setoguchi scored second-period goals and Al Montoya made 28 saves and the Jets defeated the Islanders 3-2 on Wednesday. It was a second straight victory to start a six-game road trip for Winnipeg following a win at New Jersey on Monday. The Jets continue their trip at Philadelphia on Friday before playing the Rangers, Florida and Tampa Bay next week. They had lost three straight at home -- two in shootouts -- before starting the trip. "We gave them some life late, but we managed the game well when it counted most," Jets coach Claude Noel said. "Al made some big stops for us and we found a way to hold on." Stuarts first goal of the season on a blast from the left point right off a faceoff eluded Kevin Poulin to the glove side at 11:27. Ladd, the Jets captain, made it 2-0 off a scramble in front at 14:39 with his seventh of the season. Setoguchi made it 3-0 with his sixth goal at 16:42. Defenceman Andrew MacDonald scored for the Islanders at 17:49 of the second on the power play when he took a cross-ice pass from Thomas Vanek at the left point and fired the puck past Montoya. John Tavares made it a one-goal game at 14:01 of the third when he poked a rebound past Montoya for his team-leading 11th goal of the season. Tavares, who assisted on MacDonalds goal, leads the Islanders with 29 points. "We need everyone to have the same mindset, play hard every shift and do all the little extra things on the ice," Tavares said. "When we dont do that as a team, we are pretty easy to play against. No question this is frustrating and we need to address it." Winnipegs Jacob Trouba went off for hooking at 14:54 of the third, but the Islanders put minimal pressure on Montoya. The Islanders were coming off a poor road trip, losing at Toronto, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. They were hoping the start of a four-game homestand would be a turnaround. But the Jets handed the Islanders their ninth loss in 11 games. NNew York is 8-14-3 overall, last in the Metropolitan Division. Cheap Wholesale Nike Sb Shoes. And since acquiring the high-scoring Vanek in a trade with Buffalo for popular left wing Matt Moulson on Oct. 27, the Islanders are 4-10. "We have character guys in our room and I know if they keep working, we will turn this around," Islanders coach Jack Capuano said. "When you dont get results, its tough mentally. You just have to find a way out of it." The teams played a spirited scoreless first period, featuring end-to-end action at both ends of the rink. The Islanders outshot the Jets 13-11, but failed to capitalize on two power plays. Both goaltenders played well early. Poulin stopped Matt Halischuk with a flailing stop midway through the second to keep the game scoreless, but the Jets solved the Islanders goaltender shortly thereafter. The 23-year-old Poulin has struggled since becoming the teams No. 1 goaltender after starter Evgeni Nabokov sustained a groin injury against Detroit on Nov. 16. Poulin has lost four straight starts and has allowed 21 goals in his past six appearances. "We gave them too many opportunities," Poulin said. Montoya, the sixth overall pick by the Rangers in the 2004 draft, improved to 3-2-1 as he gave starter Ondrej Pavelec a rest. Montoya never played for the Rangers but did play for the Islanders for two years before joining the Jets last season. "It felt really good," Montoya said. "It was especially great to win here against the organization that gave me a chance in the NHL." The Jets are playing their first season in the Western Conference after the past two seasons in the east. They moved to Winnipeg from Atlanta after 2010-11, but the league didnt move them until realignment was implemented before this season. NOTES: The Islanders continued to be without defencemen Brian Strait (upper body) and Lubomir Visnovsky (concussion). ... The Jets were missing defencemen Zach Bogosian (groin) and Paul Postma (blood clot) and forward Jim Slater (sports hernia). ... The Islanders are 0-12-1 when they score fewer than three goals. ... The teams also meet March 4 in Winnipeg. ' ' '

TORONTO - Toronto FC is going to wait until all its players are in camp before confirming who will serve as team captain this season. Cheap Nike React .That means a decision is not expected until Feb. 9 when Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore return from U.S. national team duty. Its not just me announcing, This is the guy, its a team thing, head coach Greg Vanney said Friday. Theres a lot of things that are in consideration. And I think its a respect thing amongst the group, that everybodys a part of that.I would say by the time we get back from Florida, well start settling in some of those bigger-picture items like that. The team returns from Orlando on Feb. 9 for a week in Toronto before flying south again, this time to Bradenton, Fla., on Feb. 16.There is a good chance the decision has already been made with all signs pointing to the team taking the armband from incumbent Steven Caldwell and giving it to Bradley, who was skipper when Caldwell was unavailable last season.Tim Leiweke, president and CEO of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, has said Bradley was consulted about the clubs major off-season moves. Caldwell was not.The 34-year-old Scot has made no secret that he wants to remain captain. But ownership has signalled that this is Bradleys team. That was hardly the case this time as Freddie Freeman broke a 2 for 44 season slump against the Marlins with a three-run homer that sent Miami to a 6-1 loss Wednesday night. "Hes always a threat up there regardless of how hes been swinging," Eovaldi said. "Hes got the power and he just went down there and hit a good pitch. But after that I was able to establish the fastball down and away and start working to my advantage." Ervin Santana won his second straight start for the Braves, who pulled within one game of first-place Washington in the NL East. Fourth-place Miami, which snapped a three-game winning streak, is 8 1/2 games back. Freeman, an All-Star first baseman, hit his 14th homer to give the Braves a 5-0 lead in the four-run second inning. Santana (9-6) won for third time in four starts, giving up six hits and one run with three walks and 10 strikeouts in 7 1-3 innings. "We just werent able to make an adjustment on Santanas off-speed pitches," Miami manager Mike Redmond said. "He threw a lot of sliders and changeups and kept us off balance the rest of the night." Santana registered double-digit strikeouts for the second time this year and the 13th time in his 10-year career when pinch-hitter Jordany Valdespin whiffed to begin the eighth. But Santana walked Christian Yelich and gave up a single to Donovan Solano, leading manager Fredi Gonzalez to bring in Jordan Walden, who struck out Giancarlo Stanton and Casey McGehee to end the threat. Eovaldi (5-6) failed to win for his fifth straight start after allowing six hits, five runs and two walks in seven innings. He struck out two. Eovaldi began the night with a 4-0 record and a 2.21 ERA in eight starts against the NL East this year and was 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA in his last seven sttarts against Atlanta. "But I think where we are right now for him is for him to win games at the big-league level hes got to eliminate those big numbers in an inning." The Braves took a 1-0 lead in the first on Justin Uptons sacrifice fly RBI. In the second, Atlanta went up 5-0 on Tommy La Stellas RBI single and Freemans homer. Miami made it 5-1 in the third on Christian Yelichs RBI single. In the Braves eighth, Jason Heyward singled against Sam Dyson, stole second base and took third on catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchias throwing error. Heyward then broke for home on Chris Johnsons grounder to shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria, who threw to Saltalamacchia to get Heyward in a run-down. Third baseman McGehee, however, missed tagging Heyward, who was called safe by third base umpire Alan Porter as he dove back to the bag. Marlins manager Mike Redmond did not ask for the play to be reviewed, but he was ejected after arguing with Porter. "I just thought he (Heyward) was out of the baseline," Redmond said. "Maybe I was more frustrated that we didnt get the out in that situation than anything." Heyward scored when the next batter, Gerald Laird, singled to make it 6-1. Notes: Yelich went 2 for 3 and has a 17-game hitting streak on the road and his hitting .411 in his last 73 at-bats away from Miami. ... Heyward went 2 for 4 to boost his average five points to .409 in 61 at-bats against Miami since last Aug. 3. ... The Marlins dropped to 64-112 at Atlanta, including a 15-27 mark since the start of 2010. ... RHP Anthony Varvaro was placed on the paternity leave list as the Braves recalled RHP Gus Schlosser from Triple-A Gwinnett. ... With the 2014 CFL Draft set to take place Tuesday in Toronto, CFL on TSN analyst Duane Forde breaks down the top prospects. Jordan 13 For Sale Cheap Real . Today, he looks at receivers. 1. Devon Bailey (St. Francis Xavier) You Should Know: The former high school volleyball player is a two-time AUS All-Star.The Good: He uses his 64", 205 lbs. frame to his advantage by being physical with defenders and winning battles for jump balls. The Bad: He is still raw as a receiver and needs significant work to refine his route running skills. 2. Kris Bastien (Concordia) The Good: He is a playmaker, having led the Stingers in both receiving yards per game and touchdown catches in each of the last three seasons. The Bad: His production doesnt match his impressive physical ability. 3. Scott MacDonell (Queens) The Good: As a 65" receiver with sub-4.7 speed, he has a very large catching radius and, at 230 lbs., he can also play in tight end sets. The Bad: His strength will need to improve in order for him to take full advantage of his size. 4. Tore Corrado (Simon Fraser) The Good: Hes a two-time Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Star kick returner and, despite not being a starting receiver, he has played a lot in the Clans spread offence. The Bad: Hes slight at 60", 175 lbs. and will need to get stronger to compete against CFL DBs. 5. Jordan Catterall (St. Francis Xavier) The Good: The 2010 AUS Rookie of the Year and two-time conference All-Star posted the second fastest 40-yard dash among draft eligible players at last springs East West Bowl. The Bad: Hes a smaller receiver at 510", 180 lbs., and is still recovering from a knee injury (torn ACL) that abbreviated his 2013 season. Other Contenders: • Alexander Fox (Bishops) – 57", 185 lbs; led the nation with 1009 receiving yards and 12 TD in 8 games last season; 3rd in CIS in 2013 with 21.5 yards per catch; 24 bench press reps, 4.64 forty at CFL Combine• Evan Pszczonak (Windsor) – 60", 180 lbs.; 1344 receiving yards over last two seasons ranks third among draft eligible receivers; topped CFL Combine with 40" vertical; also 3rd among CFL Combine receivers with 4.59 forty• Alex Pierzchalski (Toronto) – 64", 225 lbs.; led all draft eligible receivers with 51 catches in 2013; 4.82 forty, 14 bench press reps at CFL Combine• Kit Hillis (Saskatchewan) – 58", 175 lbs.;103 catches over the last two seasons leads all draft eligible receivers; led CIS with 132.8 receiving yards per game in 2012; 4.71 forty and 12 bench press reps at CFL Combine• Brian Marshall (Western) – 60", 200 lbs.; only Fox (1631) has more yards over the last two seasons than his 1518; despite 4.90 forty at CFL Combine, he leads all draft eligible receivers with an average of 20.5 yards/catch over last two seasons; 22 bench press reps at CFL Combine• Andrew Smith (Manitoba) – 61", 205 lbs.; 41.5" vertical at Edmonton Regional Combine topped all draft eligible players; hurt by 5.00 forty at same event; among draft eligible receivers, his 604 yards in 2013 ranks 4th and 18.9 yards/catch ranks 3rd Also on the Radar (alphabetically1f61f Landon Buch (Regina); Alex Carroll (Queens); Mike Harrington (Concordia); Nathan Heather (Bishops); Francis Lapointe (Sherbrooke); Bryce Lawrence (Western); Jay Smith (Regina); Andrew Thibaudeau (Western); Troy Trentham (Mount Allison); Quincy Van de Cruize (Bishops / Westshore Rebels) Analysis: I suspect that, if you looked at the draft boards of all nine CFL teams, the receivers would be listed in nine completely different sequences. They were the most challenging group to rank, primarily because every prospect has obvious strengths...and equally apparent weaknesses. Like the O-Line, this group was also impacted slightly by the changes to the draft eligibility rules, which led to the reclassification to 2015 of Simon Frasers Lemar Durant, who wouldve been a potential #1 overall pick. Legitimate burners Bobby Pospischil (Simon Fraser) and Matt Uren (Western) were also reclassified. In the absence of Durant, there is no "total package" in the group so, even more than usual, where a team ranks a given player will depend upon what skills and physical attributes they value the most for their team or system. For my money, Bailey has the highest ceiling, as big, athletic body who relishes contact. He didnt need to run great routes to be successful in the CIS but those skills will improve as an adjustment to facing better competition on a daily basis, particularly on a team with solid veteran mentors. Bastien may be the most polished receiver at this stage, especially among the bigger targets, and that wont go unnoticed. Look for MacDonnel to garner some relatively early attention as well. Much like fullbacks, the demand for tight end bodytypes exceeds the supply, making them particularly valuable to any team with that specific need. If a team is looking for a non-import Z receiver (wide side WR), the smallish size of some of the top prospects may be less of an issue for them. Overall though, the lack of unanimity in terms of opinion could lead to the 2014 Draft being the third one in a five-year span where no receivers are chosen in the first round. Discount Air Jordan 13 . Though the 26-year-old said he was able to participate, coach Dwane Casey kept Johnson out as a precaution. Air Jordan 13 Cheap Sale . Justine finished first with a score of 22.44 while Chloe was second with 21.66 points. Defending champion Hannah Kearney of the U.S., was third at 21.49. A third Dufour-Lapointe sister, Maxime, failed to make the final group and finished 12th while Audrey Robichaud of Quebec City was 10th. http://www.cheapairjordan13.net/ .Under the agreement announced Monday, the Cuban defector is guaranteed $68.5 million over six seasons.Tomas gets a $14 million signing bonus that is payable within 30 days of the deals approval by Major League Baseball, and then salaries of $2 million next year, $4 million in 2016, $6 million in 2017 and $10 million in 2018.(SportsNetwork.com) - In winning nine of their first 10 games, the Arizona Cardinals seemed well on their way to their first division title since 2009. Things havent gone according to plan since, but the Cardinals still have a shot at the NFC West crown this Sunday when they visit the disappointing San Francisco 49ers in a regular-season finale. Arizona was 9-1 following a sixth straight victory on Nov. 16, but the club then suffered back-to-back losses to Seattle and Atlanta on the road to tighten up the standings in the NFC West. Wins over Kansas City and St. Louis then helped Arizona lock up its first playoff berth since 2009, though the Cardinals were then routed by the Seahawks 35-6 last Sunday to fall into a tie for first place in the division. The loss to the Seahawks also gave Seattle a sweep of the season series, s. the Cardinals will need a victory and a loss this Sunday by the Seahawks to the visiting Rams to clinch the NFC West and a first-round bye in the upcoming playoffs. Arizona also still has a shot at claiming home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs, a scenario it can secure with a win and a loss by both the Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers to the visiting Detroit Lions. As was the case last week, the Cardinals will have to find success without their top two quarterbacks. Carson Palmer is done for the season because of a torn ACL and backup Drew Stanton was unable to play versus the Seahawks due to his own knee ailment. The Cardinals are hopeful Stanton will be able to return for the postseason, especially after Ryan Lindley struggled versus Seattle. He was just 18-of-44 passing for 216 yards with an interception. Of course, the defense didnt give him much help either, yielding 596 yards of offense to Seattle. That was the most allowed by the franchise since December of 1958. The effort of the defense was summed up early in the fourth quarter, when Seattles Marshawn Lynch dodged and bullied his way to a 79-yard score to put the game away. It was Arizonas first loss at home this season. Thats not the outcome we were looking for but Im still proud of our players, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said. We had it to a one-score game and then it fell apart. San Francisco has not had the type of season it had hoped for as it will miss the playoffs for the first time in four seasons under head coach Jim Harbaugh, and the club continues to be plagued by rumors of his possible departure at seasons end. San Francisco was eliminated from the playoff race with a loss to Seattle on Dec. 14, then lost its fourth game in a row this past Saturday with a 38-35 overtime setback to the San Diego Chargers. The Niners racked up a franchise-record 355 yards rushing in the game, but blew a 21-point lead at halftime as the Chargers scored two touchdowns in the final nine minutes of regulation before getting a game-winning 40-yard field goal in overtime. San Francisco lost three fumbles in the game, including one in overtime when wide receiver Quinton Patton was striped on a 20-yard end-around, setting up Novaks winner. We did a lot of things well. We just had three turnovers. Thats the difference in the game, said Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick. We have a fumble on the goal line, a fumble that ends in a touchdown and a fumble in overtime. Thats at least a 14-point swing. Kaepernick passed for 114 yards with a touchdown, but added 151 yards rushing on seven carries. A bulk of that came on a 90-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Running back Frank Gore broke off a 52-yard scoring rush in the opening quarter, finishing with 158 yards on 26 carries. The Niners had been to three straight NFC Championship Games -- making one Super Bowl appearance -- in Harbaughs first three seasons, but wont finish with a winning record this season. Harbaugh, who is 43-19 with the 49ers, has reportedly been offered the head coaching job at Michigan, his alma mater. Theres not much to say except keep fighting and get our last regular-season win, the coach said. The Niners have won nine of their past 11 versus the Cardinals, but lost to them for the first time in five meetings with a 23-14 setback in Arizona on Sept. 21. The Cardinals have lost five straight in San Francisco and are trying to sweep the season series for the first time since 2008. WHAT TO WATCH FOR The Cardinals looked like the team to beat when Palmer was undeer center and even figured to be a contender as long as Stanton played decent, but the likes of Lindley or rookie Logan Thomas arent likely to scare opposing defensive coordinators. Jordan 13 Cheap Real. In Lindleys defense, going up against the Seahawks is no easy task, but his inability to engineer a touchdown drive caused head coach Bruce Arians to suggest early this week he was thinking about giving Thomas the start this weekend. The 6-foot-6 Thomas was taken in the fourth round of the 2014 draft, actually leading to the release of Lindley, who then rejoined the Cardinals last week following the injury to Stanton. Thomas, though, has struggled in practice and reports surfaced late in the week that Arians may in fact start Lindley instead. Either way, the Cardinals will need Stanton healthy come playoff time. Weve got our fingers crossed, Arians told Arizonas website. There are no sureties about either one. If (Stantons) ready for this one, it would be in a backup status, and weve got our fingers crossed hell be ready to practice next week. There is a lot of pressure on Arizona quarterbacks given the club ranks just 30th on the ground with 80.7 yards per game. Cardinals rookie receiver John Brown caught two of his five touchdowns this season back in Week 3 versus the Niners, while Larry Fitzgerald leads the club with 61 receptions and 755 yards. Fitzgerald was targeted 11 times by Lindley versus the Seahawks, but only made four catches and continues to nagged by a knee injury. However, he is still just one touchdown catch shy of becoming just the 10th player in NFL history with at least 90 TD receptions and 12,000 receiving yards. Arizonas defense has yielded 20 points or fewer 12 times this season, but was gutted by Seattle last week. But despite the Seahawks 267 rushing yards, the Cardinals still rank eighth against the run. Linebacker Alex Okafor had the Cards lone sack last weekend, his team-leading eighth of the season. He is looking to become just the third linebacker in team history to have a 10-sack season. Like the Cardinals, the Niners have a strong defense that did not perform up to par in Week 16. San Francisco had three interceptions versus San Diego, but allowed Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers to mount the comeback, with his second TD pass of the fourth quarter coming with 29 seconds left. Perrish Cox, Antoine Bethea and Chris Culliver all had picks, with Bethea taking his 49 yards for a score. Cox, meanwhile, nabbed his team-high fifth interception of the season, but also suffered a shoulder injury that is a concern. Fellow defensive back Eric Reid, meanwhile, suffered his third concussion in two seasons and it would be a surprise to see him play this weekend. One thing that has plagued San Francisco this season is Kaepernicks inability to move the ball through the air and he has been unable to pull of the big plays in the passing game that earned him the starting job a few seasons ago. The Niners rank 31st with just 191.6 passing yards per game and Kaepernicks passer rating is just 85.1. Kaepernick, though, is hoping that Sunday wont mark Gores final game in a San Francisco uniform. The 31-year-old pending free agent is just 38 yards shy of his eight career 1,000-yard rushing season. Hes a huge asset and Im hoping hes back here. (I) feel a lot more comfortable with (Gore) in the backfield, said Kaepernick. Former Arizona and current Niners wide receive Anquan Boldin is just 19 yards shy of his seventh career 1,000-yard receiving season. OVERALL ANALYSIS Injuries dictate a lot in the NFL as the Cardinals are currently learning. While the chance at a week off and some home-field advantage is certainly a goal that Arizona would love to reach, the reality is the Cards are going to the playoffs regardless, so Arians has some wiggle room this weekend. It doesnt matter if Lindley or Thomas gets the call really because even a victory wont guarantee anything, especially with the Seahawks having a favorable matchup this weekend. Arians would be wise to take it easy on his starters in this game. San Francisco, meanwhile, is likely to be hitting a crossroad not long after this game ends, with Harbaugh seemingly on his way out. But the club has had a lot of success under the coach and should give its all in trying to send him out a winner. Sports Network predicted outcome: 49ers 16, Cardinals 10 ' ' '

NEW YORK, N. Air Max 95 Cheap Authentic .Y. - A chance to gain ground in the playoff race was there, until Jarrett Jack took it away. Now the New York Knicks have 3,000 miles to think about how this game — and maybe any realistic post-season hopes they had — was lost. Jack scored a season-high 31 points Sunday night in the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-100 victory over the Knicks, who had their eight-game winning streak snapped. The Knicks wasted a chance to pull within two games of a playoff spot before leaving for a five-game Western Conference trip that starts Tuesday against the Lakers. "This was a huge opportunity lost, one we cant afford," Knicks guard J.R. Smith said. "But we cant get it back. Weve just got to go on the road, win some games and try to come back home and win." Hours after being handed a chance to get closer to the final spot in the Eastern Conference when Atlanta blew a fourth-quarter lead in Toronto, the Knicks responded with an inept final period of their own after they led by 17 points in the first half. They couldnt stop Jack and couldnt get a basket from Carmelo Anthony, who missed all five shots in the final period and finished with 32 points. New York remained three back with 12 to play. "Its tough. We shouldve won this game. We gave it away. They earned it, they beat us. We didnt play well coming down the stretch or in the second half and they did," Anthony said. "But its behind us now, theres nothing we can do about that." Jack scored 23 in the second half after coach Mike Brown challenged his team at halftime. "It was just about making a stand and each individual person making a stand and then collectively as a team us all bringing that same mindset to the table," Jack said. "Thats pretty much what it was about. I just thought guys responded." Jack finished with 10 assists for the Cavaliers, who snapped a four-game losing streak. Dion Waiters scored 22 points and Luol Deng had 13 in his return from a three-game absence with a sprained left ankle for the Cavs, who didnt miss All-Star Kyrie Irving because Jack torched the Knicks for 13 points in the fourth quarter on 6-of-7 shooting. "I just challenged them. Thats all. I didnt say that much," Brown said. "The guys in the locker room, they decided to go play and they went out and got it done." New York was missing ailing Iman Shumpert, their best perimeter defender who surely wouldve gotten a chance to defend Jack since nobody else could. The Knicks, who suddenly were back in the playoff race after looking out of it after a seven-game skid dropped them to 21-40 after a loss in Detroit on March 3, will have to bounce back on the road. The Hawks had already lost at Toronto by the time the Knicks showed up for work Sunday. Coach Mike Woodson said he was glad but didnt appear overjoyed, realizing the Knicks still have plenty to do to get to the 35 to 40 wins he think will be necessary to earn a playoff spot. "Its good that they lose, but again, its about what we do at this point," Woodson said before the game. Even getting to 35 wins will be difficult considering they still have games against Miami and Chicago, plus two apiece against Brooklyn and Toronto after their trip. New York made 15 of 21 shots (71 per cent) in the first quarter, getting 14 points from Anthony and taking a 34-27 lead when Smith made a 28-footer with 0.2 seconds left. The Knicks pushed the lead to 17 in the second when Pablo Prigioni made a 3-pointer, then stole the ball and threw an alley-oop pass that Smith slammed down to finish off a fast break and make it 51-34. But down 61-46 at halftime, Cleveland scored the first nine of the second half to get within six, and the Knicks never really got the momentum back. The Cavs used an 11-4 spurt to tie it at 90 on Jacks jumper with 7:29 remaining, then Dengs 3-pointer gave them a 93-92 edge with 5:46 to play. Anthonys free throws gave the Knicks their last lead, but Jack knocked down a jumper, Waiters made a 3-pointer and Anderson Varejao had an easy dunk after a pick-and-roll to make it 100-94 with 2:37 remaining. New York cut it to two, but Jack answered with another jumper, finishing two points shy of his career high. Smith finished with 18 points. NOTES: New York had won the previous five meetings at home. ... On Noche Latina, Spanish for Latin night, former St. Johns star Felipe Lopez announced the starting lineups in Spanish. Cheap Air Max 95 Wholesale . The game was the first of two international friendlies that Canada is playing during the international break, with the second game against Slovenia set for Tuesday in Celje. Canada looked uncomfortable defensively throughout the game, and every free kick that came into Canadas penalty box looked like ending up in the back of the net. Cheap Air Max 95 For Sale . A veteran of 16 NHL seasons, Prospals career was highlighted by him ranking fourth in points scored, third in assists and sixth in games played among all Czech Republic born players in NHL history. http://www.wholesaleairmax95australia.com/ . Phoenix got injured centre Emeka Okafor and a top-12-protected first-round draft pick in 2014 -- giving the rebuilding Suns potentially four choices in the opening round. The Suns also sent guards Kendall Marshall, Shannon Brown and Malcolm Lee to Washington so the deal will work financially.8. Remember the Titans (2000)Sure this plot has been done to death. The one where the team comes together despite seemingly insurmountable odds to not only win the championship, but to become better people in the process. It might be a little overdone and corny, but Remember the Titans is still worth the watch.  7. The Express (2008)The Express is likely one of the more underrated or unfamiliar flicks on this list. Its about real life college star Ernie Davis, who became the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy in 1961. If anything, this movie is good for a history lesson for all those sports nuts out there.  6. Brians Song (1971)Brians Song is probably the most emotional movie on the list. Its based on the real-life relationship between Brian Piccolo (James Cain) and Gale Sayers (Billy Dee Williams), who were running backs for the Chicago Bears in the 1960s. If there was ever a chick-flick/sports movie genre, this one would definitely top that list. 5. The Blind Side (2009)The Blind Side is the most successful football movie in terms of Academy Awards with Sandra Bullock taking the Oscar for best performance by an actress in a leading role. Plus, whenever you see offensive tackle Michael Oher in an NFL game on TV, you can say "hey, thats that guy from that movie."  4. Friday Night Lights (2004)Based on the book by H.G. Bissinger, Friday Night Lights takes a look at the surreal culture of high school football in the United States and the pressure these young men deal with from coaches, family annd the small towns they play in. Cheap Air Max 95 Australia. It was even good enough for a TV series.  3. The Longest Yard (1974)Younger generations might think of Adam Sandler and Chris Rock when The Longest Yard is mentioned, but it was the original with Burt Reynolds in 1974 that made this one a cult classic. Everybody loves a story of revenge and thats exactly what The Longest Yard is about. Plus, its always funny when someone gets smoked in the nether regions not once, but twice. Check out the clip below to see what we mean.  2. Any Given Sunday (1999)The star-studded cast in Any Given Sunday, led by Al Pacino (who plays fictional coach Tony DAmato), takes a look at the struggles behind modern day football, both on the field and off it. Its one of the more gritty and "real" football movies, revealing the unglamorous side of pro sports. And thanks to Pacino, Any Given Sunday has one of the best pre-game speeches in sports movie history. 1. Rudy (1993)Who doesnt love the story of Rudy? The inspirational true tale of Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, who overcame major obstacles – mostly size – to accomplish his dream of playing for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish, has been referenced anytime a player defies the odds to make it big. Sure he only played one down, but it was his "never give up" attitude that made this film worth watching. So what do you think of the list? Is there something we missed? Tell us what you think in the comment section below. Let the debate begin! ' ' '

MARKINA, Spain -- Alberto Contador won the Tour of Basque Country for a third time on Saturday, confirming the Spaniards strong return to form with his second title of the year as he prepares for the Tour de France. Buy Adidas Superstar Australia . The Tinkoff-Saxo cyclist defended the lead he established on the opening day during the races sixth and final stage, an individual time trial in which he finished second behind winner Tony Martin. After going a year without a multistage race title, Contador has now won the Tour of Basque Country and last months Tirreno-Adriatico, along with runner-up finishes at the Tour of Algarve and the Volta a Catalunya. The five-time Grand Tour winner previously had won this race in northern Spain in 2008 and 2009. He took control of this edition, the 54th, during the first stage when he broke away from Alejandro Valverde on an uphill climb. "Of course when you win, it boosts your confidence but you still have to keep working," Contador said. "It couldnt have gone better for me at the start of this season. I hope to be 100 per cent for the Tour (de France)." Michal Kwiatkowski of Poland finished the race in second place, 49 seconds behind Contador. Jean-Christophe Peraud of France completed the podium, 1:04 behind Contador. Valverde entered the day in second place at only 12 seconds behind Contador, but the Movistar cyclist fell to fifth in the final standings, 1:07 back. Martin, the three-time world time trial champion, won the 26-kilometre (16-mile) leg around Markina in 38 minutes, 33 seconds to claim his second stage win of this years race after also winning the second leg. "It feels good," said the Omega Pharma-Quick Step rider. "I lost some (time trials) before this and my morale was down. INDIAN WELLS, Calif. Air Max Bestellen Goedkoop . -- Novak Djokovic rallied to beat Marin Cilic 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open on Wednesday, avoiding the upsets that knocked out two other top-10 players. Djokovic didnt face a break point on his serve after the first set in the baseline slugfest that ended after midnight PDT. He advanced to the quarter-finals against Julien Benneteau, a 6-3, 7-6 (4) winner over Feliciano Lopez. "It was very tough. Marin was a far better player in the first 45 minutes. He was striking the ball incredibly well," said Djokovic, who improved to 8-0 against Cilic. "I tried to stay calm and composed and believe that I could come back." Kevin Anderson upset Australian Open champion Stan Wawrinka 7-6 (1), 4-6, 6-1, and sixth-ranked Andy Murray joined Wawrinka on the sidelines, losing to big-serving Milos Raonic, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3. Anderson ended Wawrinkas 13-match winning streak that included his first Grand Slam title in January. Wawrinka didnt face a break point in his first two matches, but he got broken in his first service game against the 6-foot-8 Anderson, who had 11 aces and connected on 64 per cent of his first serves. "I was complaining a lot about my serve, about the way I was playing, and with that, I dont deserve to win matches," Wawrinka said. "I should have been more positive with myself, just trying to find solution because it was still a close match." After losing the first set tiebreaker, Wawrinka left the court for nearly eight minutes to have his back worked on. He returned and broke Anderson twice in taking the second set to even the match. "Its just tightness," he said, insisting he wasnt injured. "I was a little bit nervous and tight and tired." Anderson earned all four breaks in the third in completing his 150th career match win on the ATP Tour. "Game plan is just to get as many first serves back as possible just to give myself the best look in his serve games throughout the match," he said. Anderson advanced to the quarter-finals against four-time tournament champion Roger Federer, who beat 11th-seeded Tommy Haas 6-4, 6-4. Against Murray, Raonic earned his first win over a top-10 player since September. He fired 15 aces and held triple match point when he ripped a crosscourt forehand to close out the win after breaking Murray three times in the final set. "The third set was just a bad, bad set of tennis," said Murray, who broke Raonic to lead 2-1 before losing five of the final six games. Murray, ranked sixth in the world, struggled in all three of his matches at Indian Wells. He rallied from a set down to beat Lukas Rosol and Jiri Vesely, but couldnt overcome Raonics power. "He obviously wins a lot of free points with his serve," Murray said. "So over the course of the set, if you give up enough unforced errors on basic shots, then with the amount of free points he gets on his serve, thats going to add up to a negative result." Raonic blew his first match point when he returned Murrays serve long. Murray held to trail 5-3, but Raonic held at love to close out the match. He hit 42 winners to 22 for Murray. Playing his first tournament since injuring his left ankle at the Australian Open in January, Raonic hadnt beaten someone in the top 10 since defeating then-No. 6 Tomas Berdych in the Bangkok final last fall. "I focused a lot more this event on my attitude and approach during the matches rather than what Im necessarily playing and just sort of being very hard on myself on that aspect," Raonic said. Raonic, a 23-year-old Canadian ranked 11th in the world, advanced to the quarter-finals against Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine, who beat Fabio Fognini of Italy, 6-2, 6-4. Ernests Gulbis beat Roberto Bautista Agut 7-6 (7), 4-6, 6-2 to reach the quarterfinals. Hell play John Isner, the lone remaining American man who beat Fernando Verdasco, 7-6 (3), 3-6, 6-3. On the womens side, sixth-seeded Simona Halep defeated Australian qualifier Casey Dellacqua 6-2, 6-2 to earn a berth in the semifinals. Halep will play second-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska, who beat No. 7 seed Jelena Jankovic, 7-5, 2-6, 6-4. Nike Air Max Uitverkoop . First, the Red Wings scored the tying goal after officials missed the puck hitting the protective netting, then the Kings wound up losing in a shootout. That could affect playoff positioning in the Eastern and Western Conferences, and thats a concern for everyone. Air Max Shop Nederland . The $145.7-million Tim Hortons Field was slated to open this month, a year before it was to host all 32 mens and womens soccer competitions. The delay has forced the Hamilton Tiger-Cats football team to use a smaller facility for the first two home games of the season. http://www.airmaxsalenederland.com/ .C. United have acquired midfielder Alex Caskey from the Seattle Sounders for a third-round pick in the 2016 MLS draft.SILVIS, Ill. -- Brian Harman admitted he felt the pressure. The 27-year-old, in his third full season on the PGA Tour, hadnt been in the final twosome in the final round until Sunday. He held the lead entering the final round of the John Deere Classic, and looked at the scoreboard after hitting a poor shot into the eighth green. "I saw the guys were playing well, so thats when I felt it, but I was able to hit three really good shots on No. 9 to birdie, and that kind of got me going," Harman said. He kept going all the way to his first victory on the Tour, using three straight birdies down the stretch to hold off Zach Johnson by one stroke. Harman had a 5-under 66 in the final round for a 22-under-262 total to earn $846,000 and the last exemption for next weeks British Open. Johnson had the best round of the day at 7-under 64. "It was very hard, probably one of the hardest things Ive ever tried to do in my life," Harman said. "Just trying not to let your mind run wild is the hardest part out there." Two years ago, Harman played with Johnson in a late pairing of the Deere that Johnson won, and learned a great deal about how to handle the heat. "I talked to Zach about it, and he felt I was trying to get out of his way a little too much and that I needed to stake my ground a little bit," Harman said. He did so Sunday beginning on the par-5 second hole, sinking a 4-foot putt after a 223-yard approach. That jumped him to 19 under and set the tone. His bogey on No. 5 became only a momentary speed bump once he birdied No. 9. He led Johnson and Scott Brown by a stroke at the turn and was ahead by as many as three strokes after his final birdie, a 6-footer on No. 16. Jhonattan Vegas had a 65 to finished tied for third with Jerry Kelly (66) at 265. Scott Brown (68) and Tim Clark (67) tied for fifth another shot back. Three-time winner Steve Stricker fell off the pace set by Harman on the front nine, then fell off the leader board with a double-bogey on the par-3 12th. His approach ended up in high brussh behind and below the green. Nike Air Max Schoenen Kopen. "It was hard to play after that," Stricker said. "I was just trying to get it in without getting in Brians way." Stricker finished with a 72 and a tie for 11th at 269. Brown was tied with Johnson and Clark briefly midway through the round, but played the back nine in par 36 and fell back. Clark, the lone contender with a long putter, bogeyed No. 9 to fall out of the joint lead. Harman, whose best previous finishes were ties for third place, also earned his first invitations to the Masters and the Tournament of Champions. He tried to block that out along the way. "When those thoughts enter, its like whats the best way to get those things you want," Harman said. He got his third eagle in 19 holes when he eagled the par-5 second for the second straight day. He sank a 4-foot putt after a brilliant approach from 223 yards. A bogey on No. 5 was offset by a birdie on the ninth, the most difficult hole on the front nine. Harman stood 19-under at the turn, and added a birdie at No. 10 to go to 20 under. Johnson started three strokes behind Harman, but caught him by the 14th hole, when he tapped in from 10 inches for his third birdie in five holes and sixth of the day. Harman came to the drivable par-4 14th minutes later, and after watching Stricker scramble for a par, got up and down from a greenside bunker with a 14-foot birdie putt. He added birdies on the next two holes to pull away from the field. With a two-shot cushion on the 18th tee, a bogey on the final hole didnt hurt him. "Hes always been known as a gritty player that plays pretty simple golf," Johnson said of Harman, a neighbour on St. Simons Island, Georgia. "To me it was just a matter of time." Defending champion Jordan Spieth finished in a tie for seventh after a closing 66 for 268. He was joined by Bo Van Pelt, Ryan Moore and Johnson Wagner. Jordan Niebrugge of Mequon, Wisconsin, the only amateur to make the cut, fired his third straight round in the 60s and finished at 10-under 274. ' ' '

TORONTO - As DeMar DeRozan finished addressing the media ahead of Friday nights game, the first time hes spoken publicly since going down with his injury last week, one reporter pointed out hell need some new suits. Cheap Bob Uecker Jersey . DeRozan has missed the Raptors last four games with a torn tendon in his groin and will be a spectator for the foreseeable future. But the 25-year-old All-Star guard and iron man did not watch his teams 105-91 loss to Cleveland from the bench. He stood in the tunnel for some of it but spent most of the night sitting in front of a television. He watched the previous three games from his couch, as the Raptors were out West, and had avoided sitting on the sideline during the three contests he missed last season. Its not for a lack of leadership or interest on his part. Its also not for a lack of suits. Its simply too difficult for him. Thats been the biggest adjustment as he continues to recover from the first serious injury of his five-plus year career. Its definitely tough, just for me personally, the Raptors leading scorer admitted before Fridays game. Im used to being out there. Its more just frustrating than anything, because I always want to be out there every single night with my teammates. DeRozan had missed just 11 of a possible 394 games over his first five seasons and into his sixth. A self-made star, he has become known for his relentless work ethic, a player that has spent countless hours in the gym each day for the bulk of his life. Now, hes got a bunch of time on his hands and, understandably, its driving him crazy. Where does he spend most of his time? On the couch, he responded. If theres no basketball game on Im playing Madden. Thats been my day, every single day, just to keep my sanity. I dont have a choice now. Its different when you have a choice but I dont have no choice now. Ive just got to stay positive and just become more of a student and grow mentally. Just because hes not watching from the bench doesnt mean hes not watching. DeRozan hopes to use this time as an opportunity to see the game in a new light. Dwane Casey has asked him to sit in on the coaches meetings, something hes looking forward to doing. Hes just happy to get off the couch. I think this is going to definitely help me out mentally, just becoming more of a student of the game and really scouting and looking at the game a different way, he said. Just understanding a lot more about the game, outside of being a basketball player, honestly. Seeing how coaches approach the game. DeRozan sustained the injury a week ago, slipping and falling awkwardly in a loss to the Mavericks. Toronto has split the four games hes missed, scoring over 120 points in two of them. But they could have used him Friday. With the Cavs in town, the Raptors red-hot offence turned ice cold in a hurry. Amir Johnson aside - he scored a season-high 27 on 11-for-15 from the field - Toronto struggled to find any kind of rhythm. We go from a game at altitude [in Utah], where we shoot 57 per cent and tonight we couldnt buy a bucket, Casey said after his team shot a mere 41 per cent against Cleveland. We couldnt hit the side of a barn with a bass fiddle. Its one of those things that you look at the schedule and you kind of expect that. But were better than that. I know this team tonight wasnt us, he continued. First game back from a west-coast trip, the [last] team you want to see is a team as talented as Cleveland. Two weeks ago it was DeRozans surprising defence on James and his big second-half effort that helped the Raptors erase an early 18-point deficit to knock off the struggling Cavaliers in Cleveland. They havent lost since, winners of six in a row. Even without DeRozan, this is a deep team that should have enough talent to steal at least half their games and compete more often than not. But against the leagues best, theyll need all hands on deck. This is a tight-knit group and the chemistry theyve built over the last year is something DeRozan values now more than ever. Its definitely helpful, DeRozan said. Amir texted me one night, couple nights ago and he just said he was walking down the hotel hallway screaming my name and he was used to me popping my head out the door. Something like that goes so far because it just shows the appreciation that your teammates have for you and the relationship that you have together. It keeps him integrated with the team, added Kyle Lowry, who has picked up the slack with his teammate out, scoring 22 in the loss to Cleveland. I think when youre still integrated with the team you dont feel as lonely. It can get lonely not traveling with the team, not being with the team but our growth and the relationship with our teammates, were like family. The Raptors still dont have a timetable on DeRozans return to the court. Surgery is not being considered, instead theyre taking a patient approach to his recovery, reevaluating his progress on a week-to-week basis. Im feeling better each day, he said. Just trying to stay off it as much as I can, get as much rest as I can, continue to eat well and just let it heal. I always looked at it like it could be worse. It could be a lot worse. Im still going to come back, Im still going to play. Return of T-Mac Tracy McGrady isnt the first controversial former Raptor to be honoured as part of the teams continued 20th anniversary celebrations, and likely wont be the last. When its all said and done, theyll have paid homage to something in the neighbourhood of 15 players from their past and the unfortunate reality is you can probably put an asterisk next to most of their Raptor tenures. Some of them werent here long, some didnt win enough, some left on bad terms. McGrady checks all three of those boxes. The ninth overall pick in 1997, Torontos third ever first-round selection, McGrady spent three seasons north of the border before bolting for his hometown in Orlando ahead of his 22nd birthday. Drafted straight out of high school, he didnt play a prominent role until his third season for the Raptors first ever playoff team. Like his former teammate Vince Carter, McGrady has been booed each time hes returned to the Air Canada Centre as a visiting player, but his case is a little bit different, having left as an unrestricted free agent. The way it ended with me and it ended with [Carter] was totally different, said the retired 15-year NBA vet. I mean, I just left to go play [at] home, it was no hard feelings or anything involved. It was a little bit different for him because of the statements that he made a little bit later on. Same as his distant cousin and the rest of the teams honourees to this point - Alvin Williams, Antonio Davis and Jalen Rose - McGrady was given a standing ovation after a video tribute was shown on the big screen early in Friday nights game. Speaking ahead of tip-off, McGrady expressed some regret over his decision to escape Carters shadow and move on so early in his career. Looking back, yeah, I wish I would have stayed, because I didnt expect myself to pan out to be that type of player that I turned into, said the seven-time All-Star, who went on to win two scoring titles with the Magic before spending five seasons in Houston. And to team up with Vince and what we built there, if you listen to Kobe [Bryant], if you look back on what Kobe said a while back, he said had I stayed here we probably would have been playing the Lakers in a couple of championships. So, I dont like to look back. It was great times here, I just felt like at the time... let me say this, if the organization was the way it is now back then, theres no way I would have left. And in the end, thats what it comes down t1f62f closure. The Raptors are thriving as an organization and theyre off to their best start in franchise history. As they say, living well is the best revenge and with the team turning a corner, it seems some fans are finally able to let go. After all, perspective is important here. These arent jersey retirement ceremonies, theyre 60-second video montages. Hoping to lure stars to Toronto in the future, its important to the organization that they show some love to players of the past. Theres no question for me, said Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri. When I came here, you think about it and I know theres all the talk on how they left and all that stuff, but thats gone. Lets think about the future. These guys helped inspire young kids in Canada and look at where basketball is. Every young kid, prospects, they mention those guys and how they elevated them to get to play the game. So for me, 20 years, embrace it, man. Were lucky to have Tracy McGrady, were lucky to have Vince Carter, were lucky to the great fans that we have. Lets move on. Lets embrace the guys we have now and share it and move on. Giant of Africa Toronto laid out the red carpet Friday, welcoming basketball royalty to town for Ujiris event - The Giant of Africa - honouring the life of his hero Nelson Mandela. Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson and Dikembe Mutombo sat courtside and were among those in attendance as the Raptors turned their practice facility into a pre-game cocktail reception. On the first anniversary of Mandelas passing, Ujiri hosted the evening-long celebration of the late former South African President and Nobel Peace Prize winner, also supporting the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Giants of Africa, his not-for-profit organization. The world is not in a good place, in my opinion, and [Mandela] makes it better, Ujiri said, tearing up. I think hes going to be bigger, even though hes passed. He was bigger than life. Its incredible. To see Magic, Dikembe, Charles, all these guys here, you cant ask for anything better, and they came just like that. Its touching for me. The Raptors welcomed all three NBA legends with highlight videos, each of them receiving a standing ovation from a sellout crowd. The team is one of the top two or three teams in the East, Johnson said of the Raptors. Theyre a powerhouse now, its no more the Raptors we used to know. Wed mark down, okay, theres two wins for us with the Raptors, we wont worry about them. Now, this is a serious Eastern Conference championship team so [Ujiris] built a wonderful team. Hes done a wonderful job but hes showing people also that he has a heart and soul and that the Toronto Raptors are not just about playing winning basketball, theyre also about touching the world and I love that. On Thursday, they signed former Browns linebacker DQwell Jackson. Terms of the deal were not immediately available. BALTIMORE -- The Chicago White Sox had yielded 14 hits, including a career-high 11 by starter Chris Sale, yet still stood poised to end their four-game losing streak. And then the magic vanished. Chris Davis hit a pinch-hit, three-run homer in the ninth inning off Ronald Belisario to doom to the White Sox to a 6-4 defeat Monday night. Chicago had no right to be in position to win, given that the Orioles got a hit in every inning and finished with three home runs. Sale, who came in 6-1 with a 2.20 ERA, worked out of one jam after another in six innings. The left-hander walked one, hit a batter and had a season-low three strikeouts. "My own manager was calling me Houdini," Sale said. "I just got lucky in some cases. I should have lost that game easily in terms of giving up more runs." Davis was excluded from the starting lineup after batting just .130 in his previous 14 starts. Called upon by manager Buck Showalter with runners on first and second and one out in the ninth, Davis launched a 3-2 pitch into the right-field seats. "I made a mistake with it," Belasario (3-4) said. "For me, its pretty tough. Im trying to get my job done, but things happen." Davis, who led the majors in home runs and RBIs last year, started the game in the dugout with a .216 batting average and 78 strikeouts in 218 at-bats. Adam Jones and Caleb Joseph also homered for the Orioles, who trailed 4-2 in the eighth before rallying to hand the White Sox their eighth straight road loss. Brad Brach (1-0) pitched two hitless innings for Baltimore. Jose Abreu hit his 22nd homer and drove in three runs for Chicago, which went 1 for 11 with runners in scoring position. "Bad times are part of this and I think what we have to do is we have to play together," Abreu said. "We have to get united. Tough times are going to be there. Thats part of the game." Chicago trailed 2-1 until Abreu led off the sixth with a drive over the wall in centre. Dayan Viciedo followed with a double and Conor Gillaspie chased Orioles starter Wei-Yin Chen with a run-scoring double. Cheap Deion Sanders Jersey. An RBI double by Abreu made it 4-2 in the seventh. The rookie ranks third in the AL in home runs and his 60 RBIs is tied for third. Joseph hit his second homer in two games, a solo shot off Zach Putnam in the eighth. The drive capped the rookies first career three-hit game. That set the stage for Davis 13th home run. He hit 53 last year. "I was really proud of the at-bat," Davis said. "After I got down 0-1, I was really trying to elevate the ball, get a pitch out over the plate. I was able to lay off some pitches, fouled one off that probably wasnt a strike, but at that point I was just trying to protect." Baltimore went up 2-0 in the first inning when Steve Pearce walked and Jones followed with a drive to centre that bounced off the top of the wall, only the fifth home run allowed by Sale this season. Chicago got a run back in the third. Adam Eaton reached on an infield hit, Gordon Beckham doubled and Abreu hit a run-scoring groundout. In the bottom half, Sale struck out Delmon Young and J.J. Hardy after the Orioles put runners on the corners with one out. One inning later, Baltimore loaded the bases with one out before Pearce hit a short fly and Jones struck out. The trend continued in the fifth, when three straight singles filled the bases with no outs. After Manny Machado hit into a force at the plate, Jonathan Schoop bounced into a 4-6-3 double play. NOTES: Jones HR was his 151st with Baltimore, tying Chris Hoiles for 10th place on the Orioles career list. Of his 14 HRs this season, 10 have been solo shots. ... Eaton has reached base in 18 straight games, the longest streak by a White Sox left-handed batter since Juan Pierre had an 18-game run in 2011. ... Miguel Gonzalez makes his second career start against the White Sox on Tuesday night. Lefty Jose Quintana starts for Chicago. .... Pearces career-high run of five straight multihit games ended. ... GENEVA -- Even by Champions League standards, the stakes are dramatically high for Fenerbahce and Arsenal in the first leg of the playoff round on Wednesday. Cheap Nike Vapormax China . Arsenal seems to be in turmoil after a Premier League opening day loss fueled fans fury at the cash-rich clubs failure to sign big-name off-season targets. "I believe our season will depend on how we respond to this defeat," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Saturday after a 3-1 loss to Aston Villa on Saturday provoked hostile boos at Emirates Stadium. Fenerbahce hosts Arsenal in Istanbul only hours after its lawyers begin a two-day court hearing in Switzerland to challenge its expulsion from the Champions League by UEFA in a long-running, domestic match-fixing case. UEFA agreed to let Fenerbahce play while the appeal proceeds. The Court of Arbitration for Sports verdict -- promised next week after the return match in London -- could yet decide which team advances to the lucrative group stage, and collects 15-25 million-plus euros ($20-$33 million) in UEFA prize money. Like Arsenal, AC Milan regards a place in the Champions League group stage as key to its image and finances. The seven-time European champion begins its season Tuesday away to PSV Eindhoven, the 1988 European Cup winner which has already reeled off three wins to sit atop the Dutch league. Zenit St. Petersburg offers a tricky debut for Champions League newcomer Pacos de Ferreira, which hosts the first leg in Portugal on Tuesday. Also Tuesday, Celtic has made the six hour-plus flight to face Kazakhstan champion Shakhter Karagandy, Lyon hosts Real Sociedad and Viktoria Plzen hosts Maribor. Wednesdays five-match lineup includes: Dinamo Zagreb vs. Austria Vienna, Steaua Bucharest vs. Legia Warsaw and Ludogorets Razgrad vs. Basel. Schalke hosts PAOK Thessaloniki, which was reinstated by UEFA last week. PAOK previously lost to Metalist Kharkiv, which was later expelled when a 2008 match-fixing case was resolved this month. Despite two legal defeats at CAS already, Metalist seeks another ruling from Lausanne by midday Tuesday (1000 GMT) to get back into the competition "on the basis of alleged new evidence," the court said Monday. Three of the 10 playoff pairings have been affected by UEFA match-fixing investigations since current champion Bayern Munich beat German rival Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium in May. Fenerbahces case has the greatest potential for drama. The club, UEFA and CAS could not process its challenge to a two-season ban from European competitions before the matches against Arsenal. During an off-season legal saga, Fenerbahce forward Dirk Kuyt wrote to UEFA on behalf of the players. Kuyt said they had "a lot of questions" about the punishment dating back to matches allegedly fixed in the 2010-11 Turkish season. "This is not even proven that we are guilty," wrote Kuyt, whose club president was among several officials convicted in a criminal trial. They deny wrongdoing and have appealed. Injury-hit Arsenal knows it could lose over two legs and still earn a 16th straight season in the group stage -- though Salzburg, Fenerbahces beaten opponent in the previous qualifying round, could also seek reinstatement. England winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the latest Gunners casualty, seriously injuring his knee Saturday to join defenders Thomas Vermaelen and Nacho Monreal, plus midfielders Mikel Arteta and Abou Diaby on the sidelines. Milan, which begins in Serie A at Verona on Saturday, has played only friendlies ahead of facing match-fit PSV, now coached by former Netherlands midfielder Phillip Cocu. Schalke lost Dutch forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to a knee ligament injury in its 4-0 loss at Wolfsburg on Saturday. The revised fixture with PAOK brings the Greek clubs coach Huub Stevens back to Schalke, where he won the UEFA Cup in 1997 and at which a second spell in charge ended last December. Romanian champion Steaua, the 1986 European Cup winner, hosts Legia while club president Gigi Becali serves prison time for financial wrongdoing. In June, UEFA weighed allegations that Becali tried to pay bribes to influence a 2008 league match, and deferred Steauas one-year suspension for a five-year probation period. The 10 playoff winners join 22 elite teams that qualified directly for the lucrative group stage. The draw is made Aug. 29 in Monaco. Nike Vapormax Wholesale . DUBLIN, Ohio -- With every swing, Hideki Matsuyama appeared to join a cast of top players throwing away a chance to win the Memorial. A tee shot in the water on the 16th for double bogey. An approach over the back of the green on the 17th that led to bogey. And then a drive to the right that made the Japanese star so disgusted that he lightly slammed his club into the turf, and the head of the driver broke off. The ball hit a tree and took one last bounce back into the fairway, and Matsuyama seized on the break. He took dead aim with a 7-iron to just outside 5 feet for birdie on the 18th hole to force a playoff with Kevin Na, and then won for the first time in America with a 10-foot par putt on the first extra hole. "Right from the 15th hole, I had a lot of missed shots," Matsuyama said. "The double bogey at 16, bogey at 17, not a real good tee shot -- I thought -- at 18. But when I saw the ball on the fairway on the 18th hole there, thats when I was able to think I still have a chance." The 22-year-old Matsuyama earned validation as one of the games bright young stars Sunday by closing with a 3-under 69 and making two clutch putts on the 18th hole for his sixth career victory, the previous five on the Japan Golf Tour. This was his first win against a field of the worlds top players. "I just think youve just seen the start of whats going to be truly one of your worlds great players over the next 10 to 15 years," tournament host Jack Nicklaus said. Nicklaus spent much of the back nine in the broadcast booth, and it was a brand of golf that was unfamiliar to golfs greatest champion. The Memorial became only the latest event where proven players faltered badly. Masters champion Bubba Watson had a one-shot lead with five holes to play. He was 3 over the rest of the way. Adam Scott, the No. 1 player in the world, was tied for the lead until playing the last seven holes in 4 over. "The whole thing is frustrating as I stand here right now," Scott said after his 71. "But everyone is going to feel like that. We all could have done something different. If we all did, who knows what the result would be?" Scott fell apart by hitting one shot into the water, taking two shots to get out of a bunker and losing all hope when his third shot to the par-5 15th hit the pin and caromed back into the fairway, leading to a bogey. Watson dropped three shots by hooking two tee shots. The most damaging was his drive on the 15th that was soo high, so powerful and so far right that it cleared the trees and went into a neighbourhood, leading a double bogey. Vapormax For Cheap. Needing a birdie on the 18th, his shot looked good until it took one small hop and stayed in the rough. A few inches closer and it would have fed down the slope for a short birdie chance. He closed with a 72 and finished third, moving him to No. 3 in the world ahead of the injured Tiger Woods. "Its tough," Watson said, who was going for his third win of the year. "I made one bad decision. If I hit 4-wood off the tee instead of driver on the par 5, we make 5 and we win by one. But I made double, so we lost by one." Na finished his round of 64 about two hours earlier. He was in the clubhouse at Muirfield Village, leaning against two pillows on a sofa as he watched the calamity unfold, even joking he might win by not hitting another shot. Thanks to Matsuyama, he had to. And it wasnt pretty. Na hooked his tee shot on the 18th in the playoff, and it went into the creek. He still had 10 feet for bogey when Matsuyama made the winning putt. Na did not speak to reporters. A PGA Tour official tracked him down in the parking lot, and he gave credit to Matsuyama for making a great putt. Adding to the bizarre ending was how Matsuyama played the extra hole. It was not an angry slam of the driver after his tee shot on the 18th in regulation, and he was shocked to see the head fall off. He could have replaced the club because the playoff is not considered part of the round, but he had no replacement. Instead, he went with 3-wood off the tee in the playoff, and it went into the front bunker. He hooked his 5-iron, hitting a spectator in the knee left of the green, and hit a flop shot safely to 10 feet. It was the first par he made on the 18th hole all week. Matsuyama became the first player to make birdie on the closing hole at Muirfield Village four straight rounds. "To win my first PGA Tour event is enough," Matsuyama said. "But to win it here at Mr. Nicklaus course, it really gives me a lot of confidence now going on. And hopefully, Ill be able to use this week as a stepping stone to further my career." Matsuyama became the fourth Japanese player to win on the PGA Tour, the most recent being Ryuji Imada in the 2008 AT&T Classic. The Memorial, even with Woods out with a back injury, featured the strongest field of the year outside the Masters, World Golf Championships and The Players Championship. ' ' '

Both men will be playing for a £1,000 to their chosen charity with Merse nominating Children with Cancer and Thommo looking to raise money for Nugent Care.Heres who the Soccer Saturday pundits are selecting...Merses teamHarry Kane - Kane is a certain starter so Ive gone with a safe option here. I wish hed stop taking free-kicks and corners and get in the box, though, it infuriates me! Hes just won the Golden Boot, hell be a real threat if he gets himself in the box.Chris Smalling - Smalling is a better defender than Gary Cahill in my opinion and, having scored against Portugal, it wouldnt surprise me if he scored again. Its funny how goals come in patches.Eric Dier - Im playing safe and going with Dier. Hes almost certainly going to start and hell be solid in midfield as he always is. I just hope he can curb his aggressive side because hell no doubt be getting wound up on Saturday.Jack Wilshere - Wilshere has got to play, hasnt he? I cant see how Wilshere doesnt start. Ive got to go with who I believe should be playing, not with who Roy may pick.Igor Akinfeev - Tactical pick here. Theres a lot of talk about where Roy will play Rooney but for me hes a certain starter just behind Harry Kane. His experience will be key to the way England will play and will probably take a penalty if England get one. Kyle Walker - Walkers energy will be vital to whichever system England play with. Hell get plenty of the ball and will be bombing down the right hopefully creating openings for Kane.Gary Cahill - Ive gone for Gary Cahill as hes always likely to pop up with a vital goal from a set-piece. Hes may be not had the best of seasons for Chelsea but hes another certain starter against Russia.Eric Dier - One of the first names on the team-sheet and crucial to protecting Englands vulnerable back four. If England dominate possession, as I think they will, Dier will get lots and touches.Igor Akinfeev - I expect England to have all the ball so it could turn out to be a busy evening for the Russian keeper.James Milner - Im a big fan of James Milner and believe hell start. He has the ability to play in lots of positions and I think his tireless work will free up Rooney and Kane to create some damage.  ' ' '

PSV Eindhovens dismal season reached a new low on Thursday by losing 1-0 at home to Chornomorets Odesa to become the biggest name to crash out of the Europa League. Nike Air Max 1 Kopen Nederland . However, English Premier League side Swansea survived a defeat to St. Gallen to advance to the last 32, joining Chornomorets, NK Maribor and Maccabi Tel Aviv in reaching the knockout stage after the final round of group matches. Two more places were up for grabs in the late kickoffs, with Dynamo Kyiv needing at least a draw against Rapid Vienna to progress from Group G. PSV is a former European champion and winner of the UEFA Cup -- the pre-cursor to the Europa League -- but has fallen on hard times and is languishing in 10th place in the Netherlands Eredivisie after Saturdays 6-2 humbling by Vitesse Arnhem. Phillip Cocus side has also exited the Dutch Cup and is now out of Europe thanks to Franck Dja Djedjes 59th-minute goal for Chornomorets, which plays in Ukraine. PSV is without a victory in more than two months. Chornomorets qualified from Group B with Ludogorets Razgrad. Swansea lost 1-0 at St. Gallen, with Marco Mathys scoring the winner, but advanced as the runner-up in Group A because Kuban Krasnodar only drew 1-1 at Valencia, which had already sealed top spot. England will have two teams in the last 32 because Tottenham has already qualified, but Wigan failed to join them after losing 2-1 at Maribor, which climbed to second place in Group D above Zulte Wagerem on goal difference. Zulte lost 2-0 at home to Rubin Kazan. Maccabi Tel Aviv sealed runner-up spot in Group F courtesy of a 1-0 home win over Bordeaux. Fiorentina went through as the unbeaten Group F winner after a 2-1 win against FC Dnipro. They swung for a much higher fence with the eighth overall pick on Friday night, landing the "electrifying" William Nylander from Sweden. A speedy, highlight-reel winger, he is the son of longtime NHL centre Michael Nylander and the first European Toronto has drafted in the first round since Jiri Tlusty in 2006. Nylander is also the first draft pick of the Brendan Shanahan era and an injection of homegrown game-breaking ability, long-starved within the Leaf organization. "Hes got high, high-end skill," gushed general manager Dave Nonis, shortly after the pick was made.  And that fills a need within the prospect ranks of the organization, considerably deprived over the years. Though hopeful that the likes of Carter Verhaeghe, Connor Brown and Andreas Johnson may eventually make an impact of sorts with the big club, the Leafs simply did not boast a game-breaker with Nylanders ceiling beyond the NHL club (and have not historically). They havent landed many at all from the draft. Vincent Damphousse, picked sixth overall in 1986, was the last homegrown player to register at least 80 points in a season as a Leaf. Toronto has, additionally, sent only two homegrown players to the All-Star game in the past 20 years, neither of whom was a forward (Tomas Kaberle and Felix Potvin). Dealing first round picks – as they did five times from 2003-2011 – certainly didnt help the matter. Nylander may or may not make it, but he, at the very least, represents the kind of high upside, homegrown talent the organization has mostly lacked, especially up front – Nazem Kadri, who scored 20 goals as a 23-year-old last season, was a recent exception. Nonis wouldnt go as far as to say that adding skill was a priority, but labeled it "an area of weakness". "He might be the most skilled player in the draft," said the Leafs GM of Nylander. Nonis saw that skill firsthand at the Under-18 tournament in Finland this past April.  Nylander, playing for Sweden, led all players with 16 points in seveen games, notching six goals along the way. Nike Air Max Goedkoop. As a teenager, he spent part of last season in Swedens top league, totaling a goal and seven points in 22 games – notable given his age and size (5-foot-11, 169 pounds). "He has NHL speed, NHL hands, an NHL shot right now," Nonis said. "Its whether or not the rest of his game can catch up." Unwilling to pay Dale Tallons price for the first overall pick and rights to draft Aaron Ekblad, Nonis said he actually considered moving down if one of two players – Nylander among them – wasnt there to be had with the eighth pick. Nylander grew up around the NHL, his father totaling 920 NHL games for seven different teams. That kept the younger Nylander in North America until the age of 14 when he moved to Sweden, eventually playing alongside his 40-year-old dad last year (with Rogle in the second-tier league).  "I like to score goals and make plays," Nylander said, projecting an aura of confidence and cool, noticeably unfazed by all that surrounded him. A free agent and thus able to come to North America next year if he and the organization so choose, Nylander will audition for the Leafs in the fall.  "Hell definitely have a chance to make our team," Nonis said. "[But] I really dont care how skilled you are, its very difficult to make the NHL as an 18-year-old. I think itd be a long shot for him to do that, but hes going to be given that opportunity and if hes good enough to stick and play and contribute then we would keep him. If not, well decide at that point whether its best to keep him over in North America or to have him go back to Sweden to play in the Elite League." Nylander boasts a "VERY high ceiling" according to Mark Seidel, chief scout for North American Central Scouting, but has been trailed by attitude questions, something Nonis brushed aside as outward confidence. Like most draftees, the new Leaf prospect will have to get bigger and stronger before he is likely to make the leap to the NHL, additionally requiring some acclimation to the North American ice surface. "It may take him a month to acclimate, it might take him over a year – I dont know that," said Nonis. "But the skill-set is very high end." ' ' '

RENTON, Wash. Tyler Naquin Jersey . -- Richard Sherman wondered if he came to the NFL 20 years too late. The Seattle Seahawks All-Pro cornerback wondered if his swagger might have fit better a few decades earlier when that confidence and an unfiltered tongue was perhaps more accepted. "I studied the old school game more than I studied the new school game, and I play it that way. It rubs a lot of people the wrong way," Sherman said Wednesday. "Giving a true speech after a game, a true passionate speech is old school football. Playing press corner and sitting up there every play is old school football. I guess maybe I just havent adjusted to the times." Sherman spoke at length for the first time since Sundays NFC championship game win over San Francisco where his postgame comments to Fox reporter Erin Andrews became the talking point. It was a loud, emotional moment that happened just a few minutes after the Seahawks earned the second Super Bowl berth in franchise history. Sherman was at the centre of the decisive play, deflecting a pass intended for Michael Crabtree in the end zone and watching teammate Malcolm Smith run over to intercept it to clinch the victory. Shermans ensuing remarks were directed mostly at Crabtree but his intense, shouting delivery is what took people aback. Sherman said the reaction that followed over the next two days left him a little stunned as well. "I was surprised by it. Because were talking about football here and a lot of people took it a little bit further than football." Sherman said. "I guess some people showed how far we have really come in this day and age and it was kind of profound what happened and peoples opinions of that nature, because I was on a football field showing passion. Maybe it was misdirected, maybe things may have been immature, maybe things could have been worded better but this is on a football field. I didnt commit any crimes, I wasnt doing anything illegal. I was showing passion after a football game." Sherman apologized for taking away the spotlight from the performances by some of his teammates. Marshawn Lynchs 109 yards rushing and 40-yard touchdown, Jermaine Kearses 35-yard touchdown catch on fourth-down and Bobby Wagners 15 tackles all became secondary to Shermans words. What seemed to bother Sherman the most in the fallout was hearing the word "thug" attached to his name. "The only reason it bothers me is it seems like its an accepted way of calling someone the N-word nowadays. Its like everybody else said the N-word and they said thug and theyre like, thats fine," Sherman said. "Thats where it kind of takes me aback. Its kind of disappointing because they know. What is the definition of a thug, really?" Sherman then referenced seeing highlights of the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames playing on Saturday when a fight broke out two seconds into the game. "They didnt even play hockey. They just threw their sticks aside and started fighting," he said. "I saw that and said, Oh, man, Im the thug? Whats going on here. Geez. Im really disappointed in being called a thug." While theres been criticism for his rant, hes also received support. Perhaps most surprising was a tweet from baseball Hall of Famer Hank Aaron. Not a huge user of social media — Aaron had sent seven tweets before Tuesday — his message to Sherman read, "hang in there & keep playing as well as you did Sunday. Excellent job - you have my support." Sherman was peppered with questions for more than 20 minutes Wednesday. Teammate Russell Wilson was also asked about the fallout. He said it hasnt been a distraction as the Seahawks begin preparing for Denver. Sherman also didnt like hearing that some have labeled the team villainous. "Anytime you label Russell Wilson a villain it has to be a joke," he said. Sherman said he has not reached out to Crabtree. Sherman attempted to shake Crabtrees hand following the interception only to get shoved in the face. Even after his on-field interview, Sherman continued to deride Crabtree in his postgame media session, calling the receiver "mediocre" and later saying their problems dated to an incident during an off-season event in Arizona. Sherman said he doesnt regret the choke sign he directed at San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick, a gesture that drew a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. "No man, its Reggie Miller," Sherman said. "Its Reggie Miller. Its rivalries, right?" Bob Feller Jersey . They named Mark Washington as their defensive co-ordinator on Thursday and appear to be closing in on an offensive co-ordinator. Kenny Lofton Jersey . Tokarski, a somewhat controversial choice -- with his 10 games of NHL experience and all -- to replace an injured Carey Price in Game Two had a night to remember, turning back a Rangers team that was dominating play from the get-go, outshooting the Canadiens 14-4 in the first period and 37-25 overall. http://www.cheapindiansjerseys.com/?tag=...ber-jersey . Fognini won 7-5, 6-2, 6-2 after Argentinas Carlos Berlocq had beaten Andreas Seppi 4-6, 6-0, 6-2, 6-1 on the outdoor clay surface. Doubles are set for Saturday with reverse singles on Sunday to decide which team reaches the quarterfinals. The Vancouver Canucks have traded goalie Roberto Luongo back to the Florida Panthers. Luongo rejoins the Panthers after having been traded to Vancouver eight seasons ago. The Canucks receive prospect goalie Jacob Markstrom and centre Shawn Matthias in return. Luongo had requested a trade last off-season before Cory Schneider was dealt to the New Jersey Devils. Rumours began that Luongo might want out after Eddie Lack was given the start in the Canucks Heritage Classic game with the Ottawa Senators. "I was not expecting it," Luongo told reporters shortly after the trade. "Go figure, right? Im happy for myself and my family and a little bit sad to be leaving Vancouver." Luongo spent five seasons with the Panthers from 2000-01 to 2005-06 before playing the past eight years with the Canucks. In 42 games this season, Luongo has a .917 save percentage and 2.38 goals against average. "Roberto is one of the games elite goaltenders and we are happy to welcome him back to South Florida," Panthers general manager Dale Tallon said. "With this acquisition, we have solidified our goaltending depth with a top-tiered netminder for the next several seasons." He now joins Tim Thomas, the goaltender he faced in the 2011 Staanley Cup Final when they lost to the Boston Bruins, and a young Panthers team. Jose Ramirez Jersey. . Asked on TSN Radio 1050 about being teammates with Thomas, Luongo laughed and said: "I dont know, well see how it goes when I get there." Luongo said he has no hard feelings towards the Canucks looking back over his eight seasons in Vancouver. "All in all it was a great run. There was a lot of stuff that happened in between but I have nothing but good things to say about the fans that were really supportive especially towards the end. This organization brought my game to another level. Its all positive stuff." Canucks president and general manager Mike Gillis spoke to the media following the trade and was asked if the Canucks planned any more moves before Wednesdays trade deadline. "I dont know if were done yet or not," Gillis said. "Were trying to get younger, get more depth and more balance." Matthias has nine goals and 16 points in 59 games for the Panthers this season. Markstrom has spent the majority of the year with the Panthers AHL affiliate in San Antonio where he was recently named AHL goalie of the month. The Canucks are also sending minor leaguer Steven Anthony to Florida and will retain 15 per cent of Luongos salary. ' ' '

EDMOND, Okla. Authentic Devin Funchess Jersey . -- Colin Montgomerie declared Bernhard Langer the favourite heading into the U.S. Senior Open. After 18 holes, Montgomerie may well have seized that position himself with a 6-under 65 to lead at the end of Thursday at Oak Tree National. The Scotsman started on No. 10 and birdied Nos. 14, 15 and 16 on the way to a 33 on the back nine. He birdied six, seven and eight to finish strong in oppressive heat and humidity. "That was the key to the round, the three birdies in a row on the front nine, my back nine," Montgomerie said. "To birdie six, seven, eight was good. That got me to the position I am now." Marco Dawson was second after a 66, and Mark Brooks was third after shooting 68. Langer was one of five golfers tied for fourth with a 69. Dawson, in his first Senior Open, started on the back nine and shot 2 under, then was steady on the front nine before scoring birdies on seven, eight and nine. The 50-year-old said it was one of the two best rounds hes played in his six Champions Tour events. He was pleased with the performance, especially considering the courses challenging reputation. "It just seemed to happen, you know, birdie, birdie, birdie the last three holes, so I ended up 5 under," he said. "I could have shot 2 under and still would have been a good round." Brooks birdied the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th holes to go 4 under on his first five holes. He shot 3 under on the back nine and even on the front nine. "Ive been playing here since high school," he said. "Im comfortable here. My mother and father both are Oklahomans, so I got a lot of Oklahoma blood in me." Langer, who entered the Senior Open having already won three events this year, was in a five-way tie for fourth along with Vijay Singh, Kirk Triplett, Scott Dunlap and Gene Sauers. "They say you dont win a tournament on the first day," Langer said. "You can certainly lose it with a bad round, so, you know, Im somewhere in the top 10 or top 20 after today, which is a good spot to be. Still have three rounds to go." Kenny Perry, last years Senior Open winner, shot a 75. Mother Nature was a factor for various reasons. Play was delayed for 77 minutes at the start due to the threat of lightning, and play was suspended because of darkness at 8:54 p.m. CDT, with three players still on the course. Wilting 90-plus degree heat with humidity hit in the afternoon. Darrell Kestner completed 14 holes Thursday before withdrawing and being treated for a heat-related issue. Peter Jacobsen, who withdrew from last years Senior Open in Omaha after nine holes because of dehydration, made it through the opening day in Edmond. He shot a 1-under 70, then held a sports drink as he answered questions. "I learned a really good lesson," he said. "My doctor told me, Dont ever get dehydrated because its very debilitating on your body. I walk around with water and Gatorade and lot of liquid, especially here when we know its going to be humid and hot." Heavy rains Wednesday softened the course, but the heat Thursday made it hard later in the day. Changing winds added another degree of difficulty to an already long, tough course. "It is kind of difficult to judge the wind out here," Montgomerie said. "Youre always going to get breeze out here in Oklahoma. Thats part of the test out here." Weather is expected to remain a factor through the rest of the tournament, with temperatures expected to soar. Montgomerie said it will amount to a physical examination. "Its going to be grueling over the next three days," he said. "Concentration levels will be difficult to maintain for everybody out there, not just myself. I look forward to the challenge of trying to compete against the rest of the field, the golf course, which is superb, and also the weather conditions, which are very foreign to myself and most competitors, to be honest. We dont usually play in 100 degrees. Its going to be interesting over the next three days." Authentic Graham Gano Jersey . The Toronto Maple Leafs were holding a news conference, so they got curious. It didnt take long for them to find out via social media that coach Randy Carlyle was coming back — with a two-year extension — and assistants Greg Cronin, Scott Gordon and Dave Farrish were being let go. Authentic C.J. Anderson Jersey .Voegele will next play Anna Schmiedlova of Slovakia, who saved 10 of 16 break points to defeat Annika Beck of Germany 7-6 (6), 6-4.Also, Marina Erakovic of New Zealand defeated eighth-seeded Caroline Garcia of France 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. http://www.cheapcarolinapanthersjerseysa...rey-jersey . Here is a look at all the moves through the first week of NHL Free Agency. The most significant deals will get the full Numbers Game column treatment, like these:Briere-for-Parenteau trade.WASHINGTON - Heres a not-so-subtle message delivered by general manager Bruce Allen on the day Mike Shanahan was fired: If Shanahan had listened to his underlings more, the Washington Redskins wouldnt be in such a mess. This week, at the NFL draft, therell be another chance to find out if thats so. In addition to being the head coach, Shanahan had final say on all personnel matters, notably free agency and the draft. When Shanahan was dismissed after a 3-13 season, Allen decided to retain two front office employees who had toiled mostly in anonymity, giving advice on which players to pursue. "The personnel department of Scott Campbell and Morocco Brown actually do a very good job at what they do. ... To blame them, I think, would be unfair," Allen said. "We believe that we have the right people in place." Both Campbell and Brown were given greater authority by Allen, with Campbell focusing on the draft and Brown handling free agency. When Campbell speaks to reporters this week, it will be his first formal news conference in his 13 years in various roles with the team. "I think Scott Campbell running a college draft will be as capable as any personnel director in the NFL," Allen said. OK, Scott, the boards all yours. Here are five things Campbell is sure to be contemplating as the Redskins make their final preparations for the 2014 draft: FINAL PAYMENT: The Redskins are finally paying off the final installment of the Robert Griffin III invoice, the last of three first-round picks given to the St. Louis Rams in 2012 for the chance to move up and select the former Heisman Trophy winner. Its still too early to judge which team got the better of the trade, but the Rams are reaping a major benefit this year: Because Washington had such a lousy season, St. Louis has the No. 2 overall pick. WAITING FOR ROUND 2: Without a first-rounder, a last-place team that could really use another impact player will have to hope it can snag one with the second pick of the second round (No. 34 overall). The Redskins could packagee some lower-round selections and trade up, of course, but that would make sense only if one impact player was all they needed. Authentic Cam Newton Jersey. . If anything, they need more picks, not fewer. RIGHT TACKLE? Its not easy to project whos going to be around at No. 34, so Campbell and Co. cant target one position and stick with it. Still, one of the priorities has to be the offensive line, particularly right tackle. Tyler Polumbus has held the job for two-plus years and played better in 2013, but an upgrade would help keep Griffin upright and balance a line includes two-time Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams. Possibilities include Cyrus Kouandjio of Alabama, Morgan Moses of Virginia and JaWaun James of Tennessee. Even if the Redskins opt for another position in the second round, expect them to select at least one or two guard/tackle prospects in later rounds. INSIDE LINEBACKER? Defensive captain/linebacker London Fletcher has retired. Filling his leadership role is one thing, but someone also needs to take his spot in the heart of the 3-4 defence. Starter Perry Riley was re-signed, and a trio of veterans with special teams experience — Darryl Sharpton, Adam Hayward and Akeem Jordan — were added during free agency. One of them could step up and hold down the job, but the Redskins might also be tempted by someone like Christian Jones of Florida State at No. 34. SOMETHING ELSE? A pass-rushing defensive lineman would certainly help the cause. The Redskins got only 5 1/2 sacks from their line last season, not counting the times when Brian Orakpo or other linebackers lined up as at defensive end, so that could be an option in the second round. Safety was also an issue in 2013, but the Redskins went heavy at that position a year ago, selecting Phillip Thomas in the fourth round and Bacarri Rambo in the sixth. Thomas missed the season with a foot injury, and Rambo struggled after winning the starting job in training camp, so its too early to tell whether either one is a long-term solution. ' ' '
